Yes. But we were 9-0 going into the LSU game and top 5 in the country if I remember. If we had prothro we possibly don’t lose that game by 3 points. When he went down we were not the same team. We finished 10-2.. and if he was playing we may have kept Shula

You left out the part where the AD went rogue and made the hire without the $ men’s approval based off one conversation in a hot tub a decade earlier. You left out that before it was the norm, 2/3 of the team transferred because he didn’t understand black folks (their words not mine,) and he only wanted to recruit Boise State level players and coach them up. You left out the part that he brought pretty much his entire Boise coaching staff. And that he fired a very respected up and coming coach just a couple weeks into the season. You left out the part he didn’t allow former players to be around the team… I could go on and on, but you also left out how almost none of the high school coaches in the state had even met him the day he was fired.
It was a lot more than the $ men not giving him money. They didn’t want to waste top dollar on 2* and 3* kids for a coach they didn’t want or trust.

How is Billy Napier not on this list. He was the first UF Coach in 76 years to not leave with a winning record.

1. Derek Dooley (Not sure he even knows any X’s and O’s or techniques. Horrific coach)
2. Chad Morris (Probably the biggest flop on this list)
3. Joe Moorhead
4. Ron Zook ( Took a loaded program and immediately buried it)
5. Joker Philips
6. Matt Luke
7. Jeremy Pruitt (pretty good evaluator honestly but the most boring arse football that made you want to shoot yourself)
8. Derek Mason (The start of his tenure was the worst football I’ve ever seen. They did get better in the middle of his time though)
9. Will Muschamp (A slightly better Jeremy Pruitt)
10. Kevin Sumlin ( Butch Jones could have gone here but at least Butch won outside of Tennessee)

Agree
I think with Muschamp at
Florida at least
His defense was elite while Billy sucked at everything.
However Muschamp has crashed and burned as HC everywhere he’s been while Billy had success at Lafayette.
I think once Billy flames out at JMU he can be officially categorized as worse than Muschamp.

How did you rank these? Win percentage vs previous coaches, win percentage in total, public perception, or other? Because I do not see how Napier can't be in the top Ten.....

Hal mumme killed the Kentucky program? They were 9-24 the three previous and he went 5-6, 7-5, 6-6, 2-9. Not great but better than joker phillips or rich brooks.

Did Curley make it into the 2000's? I know some guys that played for him. They at least said he was entertaining at practice.

I’m not claiming Silverfield is an amazing coach, but if he’s the worst in this 16 team conference, then we have a record amount of high quality coaches In short, I don’t believe this list

2019 LSU was all Brady, Aranda, Burrow and Chase. O was good at prancing up and down the sidelines clapping his hands while trying to stay out of the way.

Coach Croom is definitely NOT a part of that group. The team he inherited in 2004 was worse than a dumpster fire and then had to purge an additional 20 players who were talented but malcontents.
So his record does not reflect what he did for the State program. The foundation he had in place allowed Coach Mullen to have success and to his credit he built upon it. That 2010 State defense was legit good and a bunch of them played in the NFL. They were all Croom recruits.
In his case, he left the program night & day better than he found it. And that to me is sign of a good coach. Not one of the ten worst.
