Call it what you want, but College Football is now nothing but "Semi-Pro Minor League" football.
The NFL just needs go ahead and initiate an Official Semi-Pro Minor League like in Baseball.
Right out of high school, start out in A, AA or AAA. Play for 3-4 years and move on to the NFL.
Let those that want a College Degree play College Football before moving on to their chosen non-football careers.

4) What a setting for a college campus. The bend in the Cumberland and the tall cliffs on the river and the mountains in the distance and steep hills make for a really scenic daily existence.

If you wanted to study petroleum engineering you cannot do much better than LSU. Consistently one of the top 15 schools in the country for this specific field. Also highly ranked in agricultural, civil, and mechanical engineering.
