re: Who was worse?

The Dooley brought in so many MAC level players (Tom Smith, Justin Worley, Matt Sims, Dontavis Sapp, etc) . Our talent level was just awful.
At least everybody agrees Freeze has increased the talent level at Auburn.

re: Vols 23-3 in last 26 games at home under Heupel. 12-3 in the SEC in that span.

Georgia has had the most talented team each of those years so I don’t really put much blame on Heupel for that. Looks like talent is getting closer though.
We will have to see the season play out and I don’t know this for certain but Tennessee and Georgia gotta be the two youngest teams in the conference. In the portal era that doesn’t guarantee anything but both teams should be really good next year.

I actually won’t argue with you, Green is a stud. Several QB’s are right there also and could make a case for them too.
re: Who will win the SEC?

Alabama is the clear cut favorite in my mind.
Texas and Georgia are basically tied at 2nd on paper but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them finish mid pack, both have questions.
TX A&M might win the whole conference if they got great QB play. Not sold on Reed but like their run game

A tale of two programs
Posted by Footballtimentn on 6/18/25 at 10:06 pm
Program A- In 2024 World Series has players running into walls making game saving plays, coming up with insane slides to score runs on plays they are beat, and just play like Alpha Dogs and win the championship.
Program B- In 2025 World Series has players pissing all over themselves anytime a ball is hit their way, they play scared and cry like babies after they lose.
It’s all about mentality, Tony V is just a man and a winner and Davie Van Horn is a scared choker. Sorry don’t be mad at me, I didn’t do it, just calling it like it is.

Watching Arky choke in Omaha is like taking a miracle drug. It just cures everything. I’ll continue a dose of that every couple of yeara

Tennessee is a better baseball program than Arkansas…. That’s just a straight fact
re: Vols 2025 schedule is embarrassing
Posted by Footballtimentn on 6/16/25 at 8:22 pm to ChiGator
Good! There’s zero reason to play a tough schedule. Schedule 4 OOC wins, Play whatever the SEC schedule is and go 6-2 and you’re in the playoffs.

Arkansas won their Super Bowl last week.
Vitello wanted a head start on transfer portal so he let his buddy Dave Van Horn go to Omaha to choke one more time before he hung them up.

I love guys for sure but Ben McDonald is really good. Other guys are MLB guys but who cares, I think they are fine

Brian Wilson has been struggling with mental health issues for a long long time. He would have put out more stuff than he did except he would get in such bad shape mentally and with drugs he couldn’t finish things.
Believe he had dementia in last years of his life also
re: Is there a certain position you should focus on in high school more than others?

I’d really target high school OL. Most of the teams that build their line through the portal don’t turn out very good.

I would have to bet a lot of money on either of these leagues before I cared enough to watch a second of them.
re: Jared Curtis vs Faison Brandon, who's #1?
Posted by Footballtimentn on 5/9/25 at 9:39 pm to Darindawg
Who the heck knows… predicting what will happen with high school quarterbacks anymore is truly impossible. Who’s to say in three years Faizon isn’t at Georgia and Curtis isn’t at Tennessee?
I still want to have good recruiting classes obviously but it’s hard to get excited about any specific players in today’s college athletics.

re: The Vitello Decline
Posted by Footballtimentn on 5/6/25 at 6:23 pm to TastyBites
Oh yeah Vitello is so bad. We’ve been the number one overall seed twice in the last three postseasons. Won the SEC regular and conference tournament twice, been to Omaha 3 times, and won it all last year.
He’s even so bad, in a rebuilding year after losing the top 5 hitters and all 3 starters, we are so bad we might only get a host instead of a national seed host this year.

Chris Low is the best when it comes to having the scoop especially at Tennessee. He says Nico was wanting 4 million, that’s the truth. They can try to spin whatever BS they wanna spin. Facts are facts

Competing at those lower MAC schools is hard but man they were as bad a team I’ve ever seen at the FBS level this year.
