When I was covering North Georgia for a hardware company I used to stop at The Pink Pig for lunch once or twice a month. In the late '80s Jimmy Carter would come in because it was his favorite BBQ place. He would pull up in a three car convoy with half a dozen Secret Service agents and two or three aides and come in and take over half the tables. Jimmy would shake every hand in the place and the SS agents would cringe.
There were probably 10 people in there eating before he pulled up. I shook his hand every time I saw him there.

It would be one thing if they stood up and said why they weren't going. Instead they hid behind the lie of 'scheduling conflict." Shame on them for being cowards and not speaking up..

I heard that Beck had a major problem with adjusting to Bobo's offense in that Beck is more a traditional drop-back passer and couldn't adapt to a play-action offense where he had to run the ball on options. Maybe Bobo and the HC could have made adjustments. Maybe I'm wrong.

I have been on SEC Rant and Georgia Rant for several decades as AlaCowboy. I recently purchased a new computer and forgot my password, so I registered again and asked for admittance to the Georgia board. After over a week I have not been admitted. I ask the Georgia posters to contact the Georgia Admin to hurry my acceptance.

This may be my last season to really enjoy college football. The 12 team Playoff (soon to be 16 teams). Players shopping for more money weekly. Rules changes designed for more commercials, etc.
College baseball is more fun now.
