just my list. YMMV 10 is least bad on this list while 1 is the worst of the worst and interim coaches don't count, also I'm only taking into account their times in the SEC as a HC
10. Mike Dubose- had a couple decent seasons or he'd be closer to the worst
9. Mike Shula- mediocre at best
8. Hal Mumme- almost killed the Kentucky program.
7. Sylvester Croom,- not SEC level HC
6. Woody Widenhofer- bad just bad
5. Joker Philips- fitting nickname
4. Derek Mason- yikes!!
3. Butch Jones- his record was somehow better than his coaching, still a clown
2. Derek Dooley- how did he last that long in Knoxville?
1. Chad Morris- he could lose to a school for the blind.

Shula wasn't working with a full deck.

No he was not. But there is a reason he has never gotten another head coaching job and he just got fired as South Carolina’s OC.

His greatest strength is his last name.

With that said he shouldn’t be on this list. Jeremy Pruitt should.

Ed Orgeron's Ole Miss stint should be on the list.

Billy Napier should at least be in the top 5, he’s probably one of the biggest busts at a football powerhouse in almost 30 years

Shula was hired in May when no one wanted the job due to sanctions.

I really hope I see the day that he’s honored in BDS for winning a Cotton Bowl and weathering the storm between sanctions and Saban.

ETA - Also DuBose is the only coach to beat Spurrier/Florida twice in a season.

Nah, he went 11-14 and never had less than 5 wins in a season. There have been 10 coaches worse than him over the last 25 years.

Dubose has still won something more recently than Tennessee and he was fired in 2000.

As a TN fan, Butch Jones was a tool but no way he is the 3rd worst. If you go by personality criteria instead of W/L then Drink is #1

Butch and Dooley weren't worse than Joker. Well...I say that, and Joker actually beat Tennessee using a WR as our QB, because our QB wanted to take a test instead of play in the game because we were so dog shite.

What a circus those 3 yrs were.

He was not 100% at fault coaching at Auburn due to boosters held out money to get him almost no good players. Plus some boosters/fans tried to set him up to get into trouble so he would be fired without getting a buyout. That is when he gave up trying to coach Auburn football team.
