Texas A&M Hit With Multiple Season-Ending Injuries, Roster Departures

Texas A&M coach Mike Elko delivered several significant roster updates Thursday as the Aggies wrap up fall camp and prepare for the 2026 season opener.
Elko announced that defensive lineman Chace Sims and running back Tiger Riden will miss the entire season due to injuries. Offensive lineman Nelson McGuire and wide receiver Jerome Myles are also no longer with the program due to personal reasons.
Myles is the most notable departure of the group. The former five-star receiver was rated as the No. 19 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class but missed his entire freshman season after suffering a season-ending injury during fall camp.
Riden, another former four-star prospect, appeared in five games last season and rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. He was expected to provide depth in the Aggies' backfield this fall.
Texas A&M opens the 2026 season against Missouri State on Saturday, Sept. 5.
