re: Favorite SEC football coach you have met

Ron Zook didn't work out but he was a pretty cool acting guy to fans when I talked to him a few times. After I was out of the Army and went to UF I saw Spurrier a lot when he was finishing up jogging around the area in the offseason but I never talked with him. I just assumed he might be one of those arrogant types if he wasnt doing a function. He just kind of gave off that look to me but maybe he wasn't that way - I am not sure.

Mizzu dominated the SEC teams in rushing last season so maybe Mizzu if Simmons is the real deal.

07 season was a crazy year. Trying to think how many 2 loss teams were national Champs prior to the playoff. I think it only happened in the era of the AP poll maybe one time before that and it was because the voting was mostly done prior to the 2nd loss in a bowl game.

Why would you want non-rival SEC teams to lose as it hurts how the committee looks at the conference and affects strength of schedule etc. Georgia should only want teams like Florida and Auburn to lose out of conference games like that.

The first college football game played South of the Mason Dixon line was played at.....you guessed it....the University of Kentucky.
Was that on Nov 12, 1881 when Kentucky defeated Kentucky University (now known as Transylvania University) 7 1/4 - 1?

Sarkisian has been to 2 final fours in the last 3 seasons. I think he could definitely win a national championship.

Especially need to beat Ohio State. The Big 10 has been embarrassing the SEC in recent years in big games.

I think he could possibly make it. If LSU keeps spending like they are he could be there 14+ years or so and make it. I wonder if he had real big success early winning a national championship etc would he try the NFL again though.

Yep Percy Harvin had crazy football speed and moves.

I think Trump made a call.
"We accept the decision of the Disciplinary Committee and are pleased that Folarin Balogun is eligible to compete tomorrow. Our full attention is focused on the Round of 16 match against Belgium in Seattle, and we look forward to the continued support of our amazing fans."

Our defense in 07 was very suspect at times due to being young. Its how LSU made all those 4th downs to win that game. The offense was about as good as 2008 though.

Its pretty bad when this AI crap besides being off by years gives a game that the team didn't even win as the answer.

According to Google, Auburn’s 250th victory happened October 29, 1966 when the Tiger’s went to Gainesville, FL and defeated the Florida Gators 27-3.
I wouldn't be surprised if that is wrong. Auburn started playing football before UF and I would be surprised if they didn't reach 250 wins until 1966. AI kept trying to tell me the Gators 250th win was in 1966 also when it was in 1960.

AI was spitting out crazy answers but looking at our season records I think our 250th win was against FSU at Florida Field on Sept 24, 1960 by a score of 3-0.

Just hoping we can get decent QB play out of one of them at least. I doubt either one has star potential but we have some nice weapons at WR. Sumrall has shown he will play someone who he feels is a better option even if someone is assumed to be the starter. His starter in 2024 at Tulane Darian Mensah (who is now Miami's starting QB) was considered 3rd string going into camp before the season with another QB considered to be the assumed starter and he started Mensah instead. I think if its close Philo gets the nod because of the OC but if Jones clearly looked better they would start him. As far as the season if the QB is struggling I think Sumrall has no issue making a change.

I just used ESPN unlimited and an antenna this past season for Big 10 games etc. and didn't have too many issues with it. I plan on doing the same this year. My guess is before the season they will offer the commercials included Hulu and Disney+ free with it again to try and fake boost their subscription numbers with those 2.

Harsin went 9-11 in the regular season at Auburn. Has Auburn's regular season win % been better since he left? I think its close to the same %.

The Gators haven't won @ KY since 2019. Crazy how we dropped off in recent years.
