How bad would California Highway Police beat UGA football players on I-5 the night after they play in the rose bowl?

Yes, at least our schedule isn’t nearly as harsh as 24-25 were

12-4 against them since Meyer left

Pro sports fandom in Austin

I was wondering who do people in Austin tend to root for in pro sports?
My geography sucks but I think San Antonio is closer to Austin than Dallas/Houston only has the spurs.
Are there any patterns or tendencies for who people from/in Austin root for or is it just random?

AU-OM definitely important.
I think I’d rank those 2a/2b.
Maybe we need to start strong but I think finishing strong and showing that we actually are getting better as the season goes on will go a long way.
Outside of 2019, Mullen teams mostly fell apart at the end of the year, so did Macelwain.
Gaypier outside of 2024 also got weaker as the season dragged on which is really saying something because he never started out a season strong either like Mac or Mullen did

In your opinion, what’s the Most important game for sumrall in 2026?

For me I’m picking @kentucky
Auburn is a close second for setting the tone early in the season and will likely get more hype because of the story lines and history of the rivalry (I still consider them as a rival despite lack of recent games) of course the usual rivals are important (fspoo and ugay) but I think at Kentucky is the most important game to win.
Who knows what impact stein will have there… maybe they’ll be better, maybe worse, maybe the same.
If worse or the same, it’s a must win because if we really want to re elevate this program we can’t accept losing to Kentucky like we have lately.
31 straight wins, and in Dan Mullen’s first sec game he loses at home by double digits. Gaypier also started 0-1 with a home loss, in his first sec game as HC at the swamp to Kentucky.
Napier actually went 0-2, and Mullen nearly did if it wasn’t for franks getting hurt and Trask balling out.
And if stein improves Kentucky then beating a good Kentucky team on the road at a stadium where we’ve struggled since 2021 the that’s a quality win.
Point being sumrall can really separate him self from the last two losers by spanking his alma mater on the road. Obviously 11 other games are played and will weigh on assessing him, but I think he can really make a statement at Kentucky in November.

It seems like that university doesn’t care about athletics in general. Sure they have some die hard fans, all programs do even FCS programs etc, but for a program of their prestige and location, it seems like no one really gives a shite for the most part.

I don’t watch soccer at all outside eod the World Cup really but one thing I noticed that I do like are the games do end in a pretty timely manner and not too oversaturated with commerical breaks
But, I do like our football more overall, I just wish the games didn’t drag so much at times
