re: "Would Indiana beat 2019 LSU?"

They’d struggle to beat some of les miles non natty teams. Some of those four team playoff era teams with super rosters like bama uga Ohio st ckemson and lsu would smash these nil era teams.

I think it’s a lot of things, new generation consumes far less alcohol today than they did even five years ago. Mary Jane has seen a huge relaxation on enforcement and is easily accessible. So you have less ppl getting arrested for marijuana usage and with less alcohol consumption you have less alcohol related arrests. Social settings too less ppl go out to bars now, they have small gatherings amongst friends or spend hours distracted by social media. Testosterone is also a factor, since 70s men’s testosterone has declined every generation. The average male today has half the T of the average male in the 70s. Long story short, you take away hormones alcohol and sedate everyone and youll have less ppl getting arrested.
re: Why do USC and UK have men's soccer teams?

In the opulent 80s, schools were ADDING women's sports about as fast as they could for Title IX. Guess as we've gotten so ridiculously opulent on football that it's no longer possible to maintain a balance by spending more on women.
Gotcha, I thought it was about equal representation of sports offered but it’s about spending

You being in a conference that had soccer and it being a cheap sport to maintain so it probably didn’t get cut is a stupid take? Y’all need to drop that acc Jan Brady schtick, like you said it was forever ago.

I’m kinda ignorant on those laws but why would that matter? Bc you’d have to add women soccer

I shouldn’t but I give people benefit of the doubt with possible typos.

It’s nothing like what Les miles did. Les took over for the best program builder the college football world has seen. Urban took over for zook.

Usce makes sense they came from the acc which sponsors soccer. I imagine it’s not an expensive sport to fund. Which brings me to my next question, Texas doesnt have soccer? That is very surprising to me being a sec newb and massive school that takes directors cup seriously

I’ve often wondered why more schools don’t have a soccer team. I don’t watch soccer or like soccer but it’s a growing sport in the US. I think it’s the fourth most played sport amongst American youth. It’s kinda strange more schools don’t.

In nc I used to laugh at all the state fans bc they thought they were cursed. They’d be like fsu and Clemson are only good bc they’re in nc state’s division, it’s the universe punishing us that’s why Miami/vt started sucking as soon they joined a division with unc. Then the weird World Series suspensions happened, acc dropped divisions and Clemson/fsu immediately tank and Miami is playing for a natty again. Long story short, I no longer think they’re crazy. I think the universe just enjoys tormenting certain fanbases.

Gotta be auburn or Florida. Florida has rained on a couple of playoff parades for sec teams. And auburn is due for one of those chaotic years

Edit I forgot our first fricking Heisman winner and I thought I listed him..sorry. Add Danny up there and make it top 5.
Danny did win the heisman or was it really just spurrier winning his second heisman

My cousin met Tommy turbeville at an airport in full bama gear(her dad was emeritus at auburn oddly enough). Said he was super cool, talked and joked with em for ten minutes. She asked for a pic and he smiled and said sure. When he posed it was him making a look of disgust at her bama shirt lol. I met Lou holtz at a hot dog stand in Myrtle. He was pretty down to earth and funny.

The real change from soccer to football would be how the plane is for a score. In football the ball just has to break the plane. In soccer entire ball has to cross for a goal. That’d be cool for football. Especially those of us who like defense

Dude absolutely tanked everything saban built at Michigan St in less than three years. He was handed the healthiest arky program since the 70s, and tanked it. He did great at Louisville and is adequately appreciated

Gene chizik, the man has a natty and I always forget he existed it felt like Gus was there from 2009-20. Honorable mention Gene stallings, gets overshadowed by saban and bear era success.

True but if you were doing it based off that wouldn’t you have to adjust for teams that won or lost to the rambling wreck
