Did O play UGA then? He did in 2018 and 19 and whipped Georgia.

So just like the pundits who said LSU had no chance against Ole Miss and Alabama.

2022 SECG....

LSU, riding tremendous momentum, overwhelms UGA 47-20 before a shocked predominantly UGA crowd in ATL. Kirby Smart observed pissing his pants and crying on Nick Saban's shoulder.

CFB playoff committee forced to put two loss LSU team in the playoffs.

LSU steamrolls the playoffs, beating Ohio State 44-24 in the championship game.

LSU then proceeds to win 4 more NCs in the following 6 years under Brian Kelly.

Kelly retires as a legendary Knute Rockne figure, then becomes successful two-term Governor of Louisiana.

It's going to happen, OP.

Your analysis isn't wrong.

If LSU makes the SECCG, I am not expecting us to beat Georgia.

However, I did not expect us to beat Bama either.

The ironic part is these programs are essentially mirror images of each other with only cultural differences outside the lines.

Disagree. LSU has more hardware despite playing in the tougher division. LSU is more accomplished. That is the root of the UGA fear and insecurity we are witnessing here. UGA can’t lose.

I agree with that, it’s just taken them a long time to actually cash in on it. Your overall point is dead on, it doesn’t really make sense for any of them to look down on LSU when we’ve done more with the same resources over the last 20 years, and are well on our way back to yearly contention. It reeks of fear and insecurity.

Well they've convinced themselves that they are going to go on an Alabama like run and an emerging LSU is a foil to that. Their worldview won't allow for them to consider that possibility.

If this is true, then 1981-2020 didn't happen for UGA.

If LSU can beat one of the next 2 SEC Teams on our schedule I think the players and coaches will be ready to be aggressive and focused on beating GA. LSU will have zero pressure, it will be lagniappe for everyone involved with the LSU Tigers and Brian Kelly will not let the coaching staff go conservative. If LSU is healthy it will be a true "Dawg" fight with LSU having nothing to lose. Like Kelly said this week, LSU does not have to be the better team, just the better team that day. This has been an awesome ride this year and we improved significantly since FSU and improved even more since TN. We Comin GA if we can get through this schedule.

Don’t know why you had to say it like that lol

I think just about every tiger fan with any sense knows that UGA will be a big favorite and should win that game. Most LSU fans predicted a 6-6 or 7-5 season at best in Kelly’s first year as he is trying to completely rebuild the train wreck that O left them in.

But you are missing the big picture here in the fact that everyone predicted this LSU team to finish no higher than 4th or 5th in the west. LSU had only 39 scholarship players at the end of last season. What Kelly and his staff has done in building this team up in YEAR 1! and already in the drivers seat for the SEC championship game and potential playoff berth is nothing short of incredible.
