Totally disagree.
This was not Paul’s finest week.
He was emotionally out of sorts and petulant.
He’s pushed the expulsion narrative strongly, and that all 15 other schools were in accord on that point.
He probably recognizes now that Sankey played him, and that LSU with Kiffin is the beast that he sees unleashed in his nightmares.
His access to inside news from the Tigers will likely be nil.
Not winning for Paul.

Finebaum articulated the commissioner’s talking points over and over with great enthusiasm.
Clearly the goal is to demonize LSU to states in the footprint of the conference. For those who are associated with other teams, just remember the SECN can be weaponized against you tomorrow if they succeed in removing a founding member of the conference with a gloried tradition of championships.

Numbers are definitely involved—think subtraction.
The Vanity Fair interview was an unforced error with many parts. At this stage of his tenure as the highly paid coach of LSU, whose foremost goal is winning national championships, he should be coached on recruiting and coaching. This is an unnecessary distraction for everyone. Anything dealing with race should be avoided. Now we’re dealing with apologies. None of this is helpful to the goals of LSU or the football team.
