They have a pretty good front 7 and arguably the best QB/RB combo in the country. It's at their place in primetime and emotions will run high. It's still college football. Expect a dog fight.
College baseball wouldn't fully blow up until they move the start of the season back a month. That's when you get the interest of the midwest and northeast TV markets.
re: Georgia - Stats - longball oriented teams in Omaha

Not saying this is wrong, but how much of UGAs run production comes off doubles and what's their OBP? That matters too in Omaha. I think the stadium thing, while elements of truth, is a cop out of haters and they just got cold mostly. I am shocked OU got them as personally I thought UGA was the best team. They've been really good recently, including 2 Golden Spikes awards in two years both from the Atlanta area. Give them some respect.

Great guy, as you said, enviable that he followed his passion. He had an affinity for BBQ at a young age apparently doing it in his parent's driveway. Crushing it and lives in a very nice area.

Pinkerton’s has the best actual bbq of the three for me…their sides could be better…at least at the original location…haven’t been to the new one in the Montrose yet. If you want pork ribs, this is the place for you.
The new Pinkerton's on Farnham has a lot more sides than the original, and they're pretty good.
I also prefer Pinkerton's pork, but a difference as well is they have a better vibe. Everything great about TX BBQ is encapsulated by their new location. Truth is incredible, but feels corporate in comparison.

Didn’t realize that but pretty cool for 4/5.
re: Auburn Coach Crying about the post season format

Regional format is part of what makes college baseball great, and has provided some of the best moments.
Having said that, move the CWS final back for sure. It's ridiculous that Paul Skenes never pitched in a CWS final. I suspect this issue will get fixed as college baseball grows in popularity.

re: The lack of prep people do for travel is astounding

There’s a balance. Know where you’re going, how you’re getting there, and where you’ll stay. Do some background research of things to do, but otherwise go with the flow when there equipped with the knowledge so that you can be nimble and flexible given the circumstance. That’s the way I travel. I rarely like to plan day by day itinerary unless it’s an absolute must see with limited availability. Anything more feels like work.

That’s cool but we will continue to have problems with walking people
What’s annoying about these conferences and programs being all high and mighty is that they got better because everyone else got worse. There really hasn’t been any great team since the portal and NIL really started in 2023. I’m with Kirby on the theory there. Any pre 2023 top 5 team would dog walk the teams today.

Once Jerry croaks I would put it as a non zero chance that the Austin/San Antonio metroplex could get an NFL team.

Spoiler
LSU under Lane Kiffin is going to have an elite offense.
This is just common sense. We all have good reason to be excited.

His and Williams's lack of development is a top 5 reason this season was a failure.
I guess I’ve drank my last Schlitz at Snake and Jake’s.

Would be a damn good turn out too now that we have a real coach
I remember the feeling of loss when LSU played Texas at the Toyota center a few years back, and knowing how fun that would have been with Wade still commanding the troops. Glad that'll be gone.
Ahhh, I've missed this.
