UF leads 40-37-1 excluding up through 1945 like you just used with LSU/UGA

Florida owned the 50s and 60s, Georgia the 70s and 80s, Florida 90-2010, and now Georgia (8-5).
Going by that pattern, you've got 2030 to look forward to. Then we'll take over again in 2050.
I can't wait.

That's why they play the games.

I think Tennessee had the same mindset going into the SEC championship with LSU in 2001. Overachieving LSU Squad beat the #1 Vols and instead of playing for a National Championship, well, I think they went home and made some stew or something.

Jimbo Fisher, Les Miles, and Ed Orgeron have natties too. You can be a bad coach with one and a great coach without one. Kirby is a good coach, no doubt. He is not the second coming. Ed Orgeron beat his arse twice.

You're correct on all points.
I didn't say and don't believe Kirby is the "second coming." I think he's a really good coach who will likely win 2-3 more championships (of course with college football changing the way it is, who knows).
What I am saying is that despite also being a very good coach, Brian Kelly's resume falls short of Kirby's. They've met head-to-head and Kirby has come out on top. Kirby has two real college football national titles. Kelly may very well have found his place at LSU and take the Tigers to the promised land. Maybe soon.

I agree those LSU teams were better than those Georgia teams. This LSU team is improving each week and I put nothing past them.

But my response was not in support of his point. In fact, I totally disagree with the notion that you can delete years of football history to make you feel better.
My point is that the series has been streaky with 2 decades typically going to one team then 2 to the other team.
That's it.
No y'all.

Well, then LSU is in good shape if they move to Division II.

No, we're in good shape because he moved up to D1 and rebuilt 3 programs.

Happy for UGA fans to finally get to play a down LSU team.

You've had the same benefit, so why does this matter. Every team goes through it.

The next couple years you will see LSU grow into what UGA has become (much respect) and those advantages you listed will vanish. We will have quite the rivalry on our hands.

We hope you're right. The UGA/LSU rivalry has SO much potential. It's a matchup I personally love.

I can't tell you why. It does not always make sense, nor is it rational.

But when it comes to competing, playing LSU....the entire Georgia Team, U of G Coaching Staff & Fan Base appear to become afflicted with some type of deep Clinical Depression, underlying Trauma which "JINXES" them and causes their Players/Coaches to self destruct.

LSU simply SPOOKS Georgia. At some point in the first quarter it becomes evident and the Bulldogs become Psycho Freaked & Confused. And then suddenly, LSU strikes with a spectacular play and U of G becomes ICED in FEAR. Another big play & score by the Tigers (often by the defense) renders the Red/Black puppies Punch Drunk. The Shocked demeanor evident upon Georgia Players/Fans/Coaches becomes obvious & palpable and they become further CRUSHED, TRAUMATIZED by the LSU Fans energy/noise that provokes Earthquakes!

Toss all Statistics, Logic, Reason into the broom closet, for you're playing LSU again Dog.

I’m sure this has already been covered but that 03 rematch most people had uga winning. We beat them 17-10 in Baton Rouge but they outgained us by 200 yards and many still thought they were the superior team. But we shut the “experts” up with a 34-13 route

And all those AZZ kickings by LSU did not happen either right Dawg fan. Ruff Ruff

I will definitely give the edge to Ga. in this.

Agree here also

Or a better coaching staff

This I disagree and hear me out. Do you think the Ga. coaching would have done a better job with THIS LSU team than the current LSU staff? If you switch coaching staffs, what record would you think each team would have right now?

Which is bull shite. Loser of the SEC championship should get the best bowl bid.

They should. It's hard to imagine anyone playing better than LSU is right now.

I said something similar but not that. I said that you should use the most recent games or the entire series. I can copy and paste it for you if you would like.

I did point out that the reason LSU had the lead in our series was because they won the first 7 games in our series from 1928-1945. But I clearly said it should either be most recent game or the full series, and even went so far as to point out that LSU held the advantage with both.

I think you are trying to twist words to suit your narrative.
