Meh
quote:

Yes, he walked into one of the most stable programs in the country.

Thats irrelevant... and we've seen new coaches sh*t away good opportunities at programs with stability.

Kirby walked into a stable program.
Deboer walked into a stable program at Wash/Bama.
Lanning Walked into a stable program.
Sumrall walked into a stable program.
Etc

starting to worry

A 39 year old coach who just played in National Championship who now has 4 seasons of HC experience worries you?
quote:

How in the hell did Chizik land that job?

Familiarity with the program... he was the DC of the 2004 undefeated Auburn team
quote:

The good ol boys were not going to let a black man be president of the LSU system

Facts! One thing about it, the hate holds strong. It didnt matter what Tate was able to accomplish at LSU... they didnt want a black guy in that position.
6-7th or UDFA ... his dad being and NFL coach may help his chances.
quote:

he won’t be remembered for the good he did.

On the field? ...The Ole Miss 4th Qt and game winner to Lacy... thats about it

quote:

but hating the kid

Personally hate the kid? I doubt anybody feels that way.

Hate his play, work ethic, and approach to the game? Yes... especially after hearing how much work JD5 put in during his senior off-season.

If they had a reason(s) to fire him with cause, then it should've happened during that time frame.

Trying to use it as way to save money because of the poor product on the field, makes LSU look like they purposely turned a blindeye to whatever contract violation their claiming... its poor optics either way.

Neither does his mom.

His mom passed earlier this year

Auburn is a rebuild.

I would add them in there with LSU and Florida. Auburn has a very solid roster. Arguably a top 3 defense in the SEC. They just missing a QB and the right offensive philosophy.

It all comes down to who decides to hit the portal and who stays. Theres definitely going to be some unexpected departures from each team.

Its bad but this is th3 worst O Line I have seen in 50 years. I mean just historically bad.

Second-hand embarrassment on this play. Like come on, Nuss.... yeah I know the Oline has been bad, but goddamn, your football IQ cant be this bad.

All he had to do was step up, move to the right, hit the RB check-down, run, or throw the ball away.

There's no way hes draftable at this point.

In the end, Ws and Ls are all that matter.

That sounds like some Brian Kelly logic... doing enough just to get by.
I dont feel sorry for him. He has fumbled plenty of great opportunities.
quote:

Didn’t Perkins already come back for his senior season?

He only played in 4 games last season before tearing his ACL. He could come back as a 5th year senior
I think Weeks, Aaron Anderson, and Perkins would come back for their senior season with the right coaching hire and NIL deal.

he started Daniels last week against Kentucky.

Freeze started Daniels.
I wouldnt call it excitement... I just have a feeling of relief that better days are ahead.

Im headed to Tuscaloosa this weekend... it feels good knowing all of the pressure is on Bama, they are vulnerable, we have zero expectations, nobody expects us to win, and soon we're going to have a new coach.
*The Ole Miss game wasnt on him. Sloan lost that one.

*Vandy game was a mixed bag. Enough blame to go on both sides of the ball.

*Baker staright up shite the bed against Texas A&M.

It seems like he sent an enormous amount of pressure (almost every down) during the first 4 weeks of the season.. and completely stopped after the Southeastern game.

The typical passive BS response... as usual
