I’m not going to start a thread, but I do find it’s interesting how fast public opinion can shift in this time period. This turn came very rapidly.

Snowflakes with keyboards and sprinkle in a little Selective Outrage...
Its 3 weeks before the 1st game with a new staff... I seriously doubt there's a player that could come in, learn the system, and be in the right physical shape to be a factor at this point. They would be just a warm body on the roster.

Not to mention...how will it affect the locker room? These guys been grinding together and building chemistry all Spring/Summer.
Whats the purpose of this thread?

Some of yall are fk'ing miserable with these daily microaggressions... Beta Male energy.

This is kinda worse than the first report, tbh.

So you want to continue to be paid by LSU for using old content even after your playing days? ... that is ridiculous.

I'd be more focused on the NFL and making sure I can cash in on a 9-figure deal at the end my rookie contract.
Not forced... but Pickett's camp should have enough awareness to go back to #3 and end the distraction for him and the program.

Neither Burrow, JD, and DJ arent wrong in this situation. Im sure Burrow didnt ask for that after that 2019 season.

JD and DJ both have a point. LSU made this bed, now they have to lay in it until they fix it. Never should've removed #9 & #5 without an official announcement. If LSU would have done this number retirement the correct way, it wouldnt been a negotiation topic for the Pickett's to begin with...
This what happens when you "unofficially" retire a number. Never should have been done with Burrow tbh. Maybe for the following season... but indefinitely? No

Easiest thing to do is honor them by putting their name inside of the stadium after they leave for the NFL.

What other SEC or Major college program unofficially takes a number off the roster for an individual award? Its stupid

Regardless of those two opinions above, it would be coaching malpractice not to at least recruit Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida.

I agree... thats inside of the SEC footprint. Those states have been good to LSU. Im talking about the HS signees from Midwest and northeast.

It’s such a waste of time and resources recruiting out of state high school players.

Rarely do they make an impact

Partially agree... I think you mean HS signees outside of the SEC footprint. They rarely pan out at LSU.

Womack, Shanklin, Jaxon Howard, Markway, McGowan, Corey Kiner, Jeremiah Hughes, etc.

Over the past 5-6 years, Garrett Dellinger and Eli Ricks are the only players I can think of that actually started multiple games here that were HS signees.
Auburn has been terrible and the Bama dynasty is down. His radio show doesnt hit the same and theres a ton of CFB content/podcast... I think he's just trying to find his way in the current climate.

Its crazy how anybody can come to this conclusion after two opening days of Fall Camp in helmets and shorts.

Guys at rotational positions (usually DT, Safety, WR2 & 3) will rotate from 1st team & 2nd team for at least the first week of camp. Thats not uncommon lol.

You probably wont get a feel for who will be the first 22 until the end of week 2.

Now I am happy to see guys like Thomas get some reps. I feel like a lot of our HS signees are forgotten and we tend to focus on the newest portal addition.

I'm really tired of commits thinking they need to be put to bed and told stories every night by the HC. You committed. LSU has a season to prepare for. Focus on your HS team for the next few months.

Well Its not your job...

...and what other other commit(s) are you talking about?

There’s nothing LSU could ever do to embarrass him as badly as he has himself

2025 #1 Penn State (6-6)
2024 #1 FSU (2-10)

He is in a special class of retard and not really worthy of a thread

Phil Steele has been reaching for years... he tries to sound more informed with his takes.

Whenever I hear him do radio or podcast guest segments, I wondered why the host never question him about his previous year picks.
Gooden was solid. Disruptive at times... but not worth taking reps from Geralds and Anderson.

Pyburn did Jacksh*t here

Yep... I remember everybody was pissed about losing in-state Safety Hootie Jones to Bama and DL Gerald Willis to UF.

Jamal Adams and Godchaux turned out to better.

Am I the only one who dont really like when these guys predict potential commitments and/or Flips? I feel like it stirs the pot to create more chaos behind closed doors. I know its their job... but just be quiet let the shite happen lol
BK acted like he was bigger than the program. So far... Kiffin has been the complete opposite of that. You can feel his appreciation of having the opportunity to coach at LSU.

I hope he gets it together. That touchdown catch against Auburn was one of the most iconic plays in LSU history.

Theres no 2007 National Championship without that catch
Bama 2019

Clyde's first down run on 1st & 10 right after the Onside kick. The Oline literally push/carried him 10 yards to seal the game.
Its simple... his stance doesnt align with how they feel. It shakes the table. So they try to use reverse psychology by labeling him a race baiter... just because some of the COVERT stuff he speaks on is not blatant racism... they feel its not factual.

Theres plenty of microgressions on this board every other day.
