I don’t think anyone considers 2020 Bama to be a bad team.
The ridiculous COVID rules of the 2020 season just impacted everything and the season cannot be compared to any other season. 2020 season stands on its own.

No one will like this answer but one of sabans teams(bcs or early playoff teams), if you made a conference of nothing but elite teams(the sec best definitely qualifies). Literally every week would be a game of the week type game for everyone. Those early saban staffs are the only ones I trust to adjust prep and focus for an entire season with that schedule. I’d probably lean 2015 bama.

Its actually kind of an insult to hold that team in the same light as the other Alabama champions, who accomplished much more.
LSU's 1958 title run ended with a win vs #12 Clemson. The only other ranked team they beat was #6 Ole Miss. Asterisk or are we going with "that is how they picked champions that year"?

These threads are kind of fun but 2019 LSU passing game would have thrown for 600 yards vs our 2012 pass defense.
