I seriously can't remember the last "big" game from one of these triple A western studios left me wowed.

Probably gotta go back to God of War 2018 for the last triple A game that I thought was quite impressive at the time.

Since then any game that I've greatly enjoyed has either been a non-Western Dev, a AA type size studio, or an indie game.

Private Equity getting involved in anything has a 100% track record of making things both shittier and more expensive and sports will be no different.

The numbers behind the scenes must be absolutely dismal for them to 180 and grovel like this.

Their players have been screaming bloody murder at the top of their lungs for like a year and they aggressively ignored/dismissed them.

This isn't some deeply felt change of heart, this was them blindly plowing ahead with their clearly stupid plans, having those plans completely fail miserably, and then now trying to undo the damage.

This mentality says you should smear shite all over yourself to help the shite smell better
