LSU is always a shite show. Total train wreck.

Tough not to watch though.

All it would take is Steve Spurrier to start crying about his #11 still being used and you guys would be in the same spot.

Just takes one whiney player.
quote:

Saban and his wife talk FAVORABLY about LSU all the time. Majority of LSU fans do the same towards them, also. Very simple logic.

Might be a reach to say a majority of LSU fans speak "favorably" of Saban. A lot have healed enough to go from negative to neutral but positive might be a bridge too far.
Depending on how long between the end of the season and the start of the playoffs, 2010 Alabama could have gotten healthy again (except for Barron). That team that murdered Michigan State was hitting on all cylinders.

Because this thread is about Alabama.

Ahh... the "Because I started this thread so only I make the rules about where it is allowed to go" guy.
quote:

Exactly, 1958 LSU isnt the best team of all time

Putting "exactly" before your comment doesn't mean your point was made. The asterisk is not put there by LSU fans to denote 2019 was better than 2020 (i'll admit it is probably just limp dick roundabout to try and invalidate the 2019-2020 debate before it starts). Nobody says "well Lebron has an asterisk so you can't compare him and MJ as GOAT". An asterisk is used to denote something shouldn't count. So if 2020 gets the asterisk for whatever reason, '58 gets the asterisk for similar reason.
quote:

No. We push the asterisk bc 60 out of 120 teams actually played a full schedule of football.

The runner up that year was 7 win ohio state.

Its actually kind of an insult to hold that team in the same light as the other Alabama champions, who accomplished much more.

LSU's 1958 title run ended with a win vs #12 Clemson. The only other ranked team they beat was #6 Ole Miss. Asterisk or are we going with "that is how they picked champions that year"?

He wouldn’t even touch the field for most Texas high schools if he played in 2026

I guess we are not putting him through 1000s of hours of camps and training like they do for kids these days while we are at it. I'm sure they would look at a tall, remarkably athletic teen and tell him to join the chess club instead. He would just have to go to MLB where he was drafted multiple times.

So was the VCR at our old camp. Was spot on twice a day.
Soft spot for 1999 where Marvin Constant shredded his knee stopping Josh Booty at the 1 on the final play.

Nope, our rbs are fast. We need them fast.

Fast or in a wheel chair.

With no more government and the enforcement agencies that come with it, just how are they going to disarm anyone?

Are you looking for something more complicated than "Because they will replace the current enforcement agencies with THEIR OWN enforcement agencies."

You think they intend to just melt down all the weapons held by the government and leave an armed population? Ehhh no.

It would be a civil war before that happens but they very much would replace the current agencies with their own and give them the weapons of the old enforcement agencies and then they would try to disarm the citizens. Hard stop.
quote:

So no IRS, no ATF, no NSA, no ACA?

Deal.

Ohhh you think their deal allows you to still keep your guns....

But no one stopped it, I would not have sat there just to complain later.

I get the feeling they could have loudly complained from the moment they sniffed what was going on and there would have been a combination of nobody listening, the press and hospital demonizing or lying about you, and any opposition being silenced. The order was given and all must comply. They could have tried to remove her but they would have ended up in jail.

The Canadian government now gets to make the call that your life must expire by a certain date, if not sooner whether you like it or not.

I know what your saying, I just don't agree with it. Trying to change the mindset of the world. I think when you send a coach to other teams games and practices with the objective of figuring out what the signs are and what they mean, that is stealing. I would just like for people not to conflate the two because one is just smart ball and the other is not ethical.

People are going to make their decision (which means nothing in the grand scheme) based on the parties that are involved and what they already want to think, not because of some sports idiom that has been around since sports have been in existence. You could call it whatever you want and someone is going to assign nefarious motives to who they want to. Minds will not be changed.

Socialism is a direct mechanism of corruption.

Socialism does end up corrupt the vast majority of time but I am pretty sure corruption comes out of all sorts of government types. Plenty of administrations were corrupt long before socialism emerged in the US. Ancient Rome was corrupt as hell and they were nowhere near socialist.

New Orleans didn't run out of money because they're a so-called "socialist" city. They're out of money because Cantrell stole it all.

You think NOLA was fiscally healthy prior to 2018 (or if you wanna go back to 2012 while on the CC)??? The city was in a death spiral before she showed up and we would have gotten to this point without her. Too much incompetence and grift has been going on in the city long before she came around and that is what has been bleeding the city dry. She did a good job of moving it along but her 6 years in office is a bump in the road.

Signals weren't "stolen". When you got an ex-coach across the way and you haven't changed your signs, he was simply observing and reporting the signs, he didn't have to steal them.

Don't get your panties in a wad. It's a well known expression that has been used in sports since teams started using signals. A guy on second is relaying signs to the batter. They say he is "stealing signs". They don't say "He is observing and relaying the catcher's signals to the batter". The sign is meant to be only between the pitcher and catcher and the opposing team "steals" it while being communicated. Everyone knows what that means (almost everyone i guess)

Honestly thought 11 bama was better than 09 bama even though they gumped there way into a rematch

If 2010 Alabama had remained healthy, they would have likely been better than both 09 or 11. Not how things work though.
