Might be to clear his record for getting buildings named after him?

He did get a statue in 2018 without much fuss so I don't know if LSU needs much public relations cover. Most people in the area are pretty much at peace with him being generally a decent guy that made a mistake.

And a building is a bit much. A hall or wing in an athletic facility maybe. That would be a good idea. I definitely don't know all the names of buildings across campuses in the country but I don't remember any that were named after former player unless they came back as a coach or school official. Or gave a shite ton of cash. Or was a war hero like Alex Box

Although naming something at the dental school after him might not be a half bad idea
So a gun was put to your head to change your name in the first place? Don't change it in the first place if you are going to whine and bitch about this.
Let's not forget Joseph Cao, single term congressman from La's 2nd district was the only Republican congressman to vote yes on Obamacare. And the heavily democrat district thanked him by doing what.... kicking his arse to the curb after 2 years.

The only reason he even got elected in the first place was because Obama was elected a few weeks earlier and the minority voters were in a state of euphoria and just didn't show up to vote in the runoff. Only way a Vietnamese guy would get voted in an African America majority district.
After reading the article, it looks like parliament was just throwing a half baked law out there because the prior law had been declared unconstitutional and needed a quick replacement.

I wouldn't be surprised if this one gets declared unconstitutional as well. The old law was basically declared unconstitutional for "assumed income" and this is very similar. The new law is just a semantic difference that the courts are just going to say "this is the same shite we nixed before".

This needs to be done in every single parish. All of them.

All 64 parishes are, by law, audited. The problem is the procedures required are really only set up to detect material misstatements. The state laws really need to be changed to require certain additional agreed upon procedures. My wife and brother used to work on audits in south Louisiana parishes and the amount of crap that does not get included in the reports because they don't meet a materiality threshold is mind numbing.

He's in incredibly poor health.

His dad reportedly had syphilis among other STDs so you'd imagine son has picked a few up during his lifetime. I know they had a countrywide testing ordered back in early 2000s probably because it was getting out of hand.

50 years from now Japan GDP will surpass the US if we do not pivot to this approach.

Japan has a 1.15 fertility rate right now. (US is at 1.6 which is not good either but we are at least ahead by half a kid) If they don't fix that, they will be a complete mess in 50 years.
This is the way most asian countries are. I think Japan is like 95%+ actual Japanese people.

I never said you can't do it. I said I wouldn't. You are free to be a retard if you want.

Not sure I would ever scoff at a guy who traded one miss universe for a younger miss universe.

This doesn’t include marketing and other expenses, I’m sure, just production costs.

They did the full court press marketing this thing. I remember seeing advertisements all over the place. Probably an extra 150 million. If there was any financing interest, that isn't going to be included in the production budget either. Disney's free cash flow was pretty bad back in 2022 when production ramped up so they may have needed a good chunk of financing to move this thing along.

There are a lot of very rich, very influential people in politics who have been very open about their desire to see the human population significantly decrease.

I really don't get why those same elites would keep giving free food and medical care to exact demographics that crank out babies the fastest. Kinda weird

I’ve definitely noticed a huge effort to promote women’s sports, not just at ESPN but also at the schools.

They do some sneaky shite on their website during basketball season by putting headlines about games but not mentioning that it is women's. They want casual followers to see a headline like "Duke and UNC have overtime thriller" and you find out it is the women's teams when you click on it. They do it to create the illusion of interest in women's sports.
Almost every white person is a few generations removed from some injustice inflicted upon an ancestor. Big deal. My great grandfather probably had it worse from the klan than this guy and our family is about as white as it comes. The klan tried to bully lots of people so you aren't special (if it even happened). My grandfather had a cross burnt on his lawn with his kids inside because he said something to his congregation that rubbed the local klan the wrong way. Big deal. Interesting family story but I had nothing to do with it and isn't some pivotal moment in my family history I point at to blame anything and everything wrong in the world. My family.....gasp..... moved on. Hard concept i guess.

does his son still monitor his porn use?

I usually let an ad hominem attack slide if it is even close to the same ballpark and contradicts the credibility someone has on that specific topic but what does porn usage have to do with voting laws?

In that case, it seems a bit retarded to make that comment.

This is so silly. You really think there are not even microbes on the estimated septillion planets in the observable universe?

These kids have encoding issues with the way they learn today. The way your brain works is the more difficult it is to seek information and learn something, the more likely you are to retain it and apply that knowledge. It is technically called "deep encoding". With so much of the learning process automated and spoon-fed to students these days, the heavy lifting that past generations had to do to learn things is lost. The more arduous process of learning something, it becomes much more reinforced and retained.
It isn't that hard send in an auditor and confirm this. Just test the revenue. Go through the ledger and start testing the deposits. You would expect that 90+% would be from credit cards payments. Get the credit card statements. Who purchased the wine. Confirm purchases were made. Then look at the shipping documents. Confirm with whoever they claim to use for shipping.

You could easily blow this up with just an IRS audit.

I know of all sorts of ways you can fake these things contemporaneously but it takes someone who knows accounting and what audits look at. Send out fake shipments through UPS. Create fake customers and buy with prepaid credit cards. Get some suppliers to be conspirators or possibly purchase supplies. Where are the grapes being purchased from? But these people seem so brazen that I seriously doubt they contemporaneously created a fake paper trail. You can try to put it together after the fact but it is really hard to fake credit card UPS statements.
