So you meant to point out that Texas and OU have very similar SOS as part of your overall point that their very similar passing statistics actually show that Mateer sucks but Arch doesn't..... You can claim there is a big gap in difficulty but it really isn't.

Systems like that work really well when you have a lot more data points as well as a lot more cross conference games. You get more non conference games in a basketball season than you get total games for a entire football season.
You could implement a NET like system but it would definitely be less accurate.

Sounds kinda desperate to make this move. Pretty obvious that evaluation of HS kids is becoming less important to programs as the evaluation of transfers coming in has gotten . And what exactly is rivals going to do if the top QB in the country gives them the finger and he gets left off their ranking while he gets offers from every top program in the country? That kid doesn't need rivals.

2 OD deaths a day is about average for the state of Mississippi. (was 622 over a 12 month period a few years ago) Should the fact it was a couple kids on Ole Miss's campus really move the dial on whether that quote is offensive or not? Seems stupid to scandalize the comment just because it happened to two students.
