Surprises me a bit. Assume that's more NIL than Katrina effect?

Of the 3 Ole Miss players, 2 are currently on an NFL roster
Must assume they aren't gonna make it?

The NFL guys need to get back to training camp, it seems.
That's the thing. Doubt they have a training camp to get back to. That extra year of eligibility is their fall-back option.

there is one particular visiting band every other year I boo with intention
Do you fly in from Brazil to boo said band? Or just boo them on the TV? Either way, I salute the band hate dedication.

So, yeah, worked out pretty good.
Worked out here too. Graduated with honors and don't care about AU athletics other than baseball (cousin pitched).

What’s your alls biggest position of concern/largest loss?
LT. Goosby's injury is better than originally feared. But still too thin behind him for an SEC schedule.

Conference rules are far more likely to be upheld than NCAA rules in court.
Apart from unionizing and collective bargaining, just a matter of time before that's not the case.

The line between cringeworthy and epic is oftentimes very thin indeed.
Ask D Wade...

Could Pavia have another chance?
At this point, it's possible. Some legal experts think he'd win the "JUCO cost me NIL $" argument. And, the most recent ruling now has guys cut from NFL camps entering the transfer portal.

This version of CFB sucks so bad.

We became devoted to our teams.
Yep. That's what has been entirely lost on school admins. All but the most diehard loyalists are over this.

Who's your breakout star or surprise that the nation doesn't know?
Jonah Williams, sophomore safety. Looks to be recovered from shoulder surgery. Long, rangy (plays outfield) and good ball instincts.

was recruited by Ole Miss (to play baseball).
Didn't he originally commit to play both sports at OM, or am I misremembering that?

Johnny Football to play safety
Mack passed on Andrew Luck in 08 because he'd zeroed in on Garrett Gilbert in the 09 class as his QB of the future. Also, told RGIII he could play WR/athlete for us too.

Sounds like a bone bruise, so a pretty variable time frame ranging from a few weeks to months.
Yeah, better than initially thought, but probably not back in time for tOSU. Going to be interesting to see if they switch the transfer from Wake over or roll a RS freshman in there. If so, they better give him some back help.

Milroe isn't big enough for LB
Adding 10# to his frame is doable.

he hates contact.
Can't comment on that. Other than to say I've watched him on a few occasions and he stood in and took a shot to deliver the ball and he stepped into his throws.

I wonder how many great athletes have wrecked their career because they wanted to play QB?
Hard to say that he wrecked his career because he made it to the NFL.But, I could see Jalen Milroe as a starting LB for a long time. And, Justin Fields should be running around in the outfield in MLB right now. Just my .02.

Are you running through that wall after this?
Personally, I like the old-school approach. Sadly, now that kids are there for a pay-day instead of manhood or the university, not sure that it still works.

That is the kind of liberal bitch you expect to see in Austin if we are all being honest.
Now that Elon's moved in, most of them have fled to Colorado.

Has the gameday grind become too much for your old bones?
Replaced it with going to a lot more NFL games. Never dreamed I'd enjoy those more than the pageantry and traditions of CFB. But, I at least know the roster. Games are usually hyper-competitive. And, it's in the AC.

SEC HC Height Ranking
Fall camps are going and we got this thread. Further example of CFB's steep decline.

3) Prepare Texas to compete in the SEC.
Sark's a good coach who's built a really solid program. His teams still lack that killer instinct. We'll see if Boom helps that.
