I hope Byrne doesn’t frick this up.

One of the quotes from Oats was that he hoped to retire working for Byrne. Sounds like they have a great working relationship

Oats seems like such a based dude. He's in it for the right reasons.

My son and I ran into Oats on the riverwalk in Tampa when he was walking with his lady. I couldn't help myself and had to ask if my son could get a picture with him. Nate was the nicest person, gracious, and took time to ask my son tons of questions about his college experience and plans afterwards. We were already fans, but now its different.

They would be fools not to do this. I love Oats but the rock to his scissors is having your tallest player guard the rim and telling the other four guys to stay around the 3-pt line and try to clog potential kick-out lanes.

I agree with this 100%, but I don't want them to do it.
So do I give it an upvote for agreeing or a downvote because I don't want it to happen?

We beat #1 UCLA back in the early 80s, I remember. Not the tournament, but still.

Mark "Tree" Farmer from Arab Alabama got his only start of his career in this game because of the center UCLA had. Mark played decent and held his own for a player that rarely got any playing time.

As far as this weekend goes, a lot will depend on what Michigan decides to do when we drive. Do they help like TT did, do they just leave 7'2 Mara as a rim protector and leave Sherrell alone at the 3 point line, or do they just trust their on ball defense and try to make us shoot tough 2s and stay attached to all of the other men around the arc. I hope they help like TT did, we had open 3s all around the arc. We tend to move the ball better when teams play this type of D. The D that stays attached to shooters seems to make our offens more stagnent and we watch Philon dribble most of the clock away. (But he's probably one of the best in the tournament at handling one on ones)

Smoke shows. Tried to get my son to go talk to them in Tampa all weekend. The big chicken.
1) When is Holloway's meeting with the schools disciplinary board?

2) Did anybody notice if Bristow was at the game Sunday night? We were at the arena and don't remember seeing him there. Watched the game back last night and didn't see him on the bench during the broadcast. Has there been anything on socials about him?

Yeah it was honestly perfect. I bought the absolute cheapest ticket I could find and then when the Gators went down I got a free upgrade

Brilliant. I was lucky to sit next to a close friend of mine for the first game who couldn't use his tickets for Sunday night. So I got a free upgrade into the game!
I hate that I didn't check out the Rant while we were there. We sat with the team families for both games and had a blast.
I saw a Spree jersey when leaving the arena after one of our games, can't remember which session it was. I don't imagine there were too many of those jerseys around.
Sorry, wasn't going to walk way up to the 300s!
Just getting back into the office after driving back to Bama from Tampa yesterday. What a great weekend. Got to meet several of the players, got to meet Coach Murphy and Coach Oats. Watched the smug gator fans go home early with their tails tucked and watched Bama play 2 complete games. To those that are getting to go to Chicago, I'm jealous. If you're sitting anywhere near the Bama section just follow Houston's dad's lead. He is non stop energy in the stands just like Houston is on the court!

Rick Moody brought us more success than Curry did. And oh, by the way, Moody started his career in the high school ranks

Played against Moody coached Guntersville teams wayyyyy back in the day.
Tampa was wild. Getting to be in the arena with Iowa upsetting the Gators (and watching all the arrogant gator fans go home early sunday night) was a bonus. The Bama section having Mallette's dad lead the cheers all night for both games was awesome too. Wish I could make it to Chicago.

I don't expect anything. I thought maybe a lower profile person would take the rap in order for the higher profile person to keep doing what they do. It wouldn't be the first time that type of thing happened.

I'm still surprised that the girlfriend didn't take the fall for this given Aden's situation. Maybe it wasn't possible given how the warrant was written, I'm completely in the dark on matters like this.
Sat across the aisle from Duane Casey (Pistons front office) at the SEC Tournament. I politely asked him to not draft Amari. He spoke highly of Amari as a shooter which I was a little surprised at. When he asked why he shouldn't draft him I said for my own personal happiness. He said he couldn't make any promises. :banghead:

If you can't hit, and can't pitch, it doesn't leave much room to be very good.
He's married to an Arabian Knight, so he's got to be one of the most successful.
