Not sure he had much of a choice. He was leaving before he was forced out. He is arrogant but the guy he worked for was worse.
Spoken like an Arkansas fan. And every game was lost as the result of officiating…same as all other losses.
OU is one of the top 5 all
Time programs. They got that way because they gave perhaps cheated better than any program in college football and for a longer time. Bud Wilkinson was paying players and winning games a long time ago. Used to be kind of a joke among OU fans. Win a championship and go on probation. A great trade off.
Signal is still but it is t the same show post game. No more Chief or call ins and I don’t care to listen anymore. Of course…now there is no shortage of cfb talk and info but back 20 to 40 years ago you weren’t overwhelmed with media
Pretty much the same experience listening to those night games back before we had all day and all night tv games. Then The Chief would have a long post game show. They covered mainly LSU…but the Saints would be talked about some and every Louisiana directional
School and maybe some HS thrown in there as well.
A reason not to have it. We don’t want to be like them.
Missouri’s is underrated. Very collegiate and has the same sound as a Notre Dame or Michigan…classic fight songs. But Alabama is my favorite. Sounds like college football and not a Tide fan.
I have actually picked up the Chief up near St. Louis

Older LSU fans or any older fan

Do any of y’all remember a Saturday night radio show on AM radio…I think out of New Orleans..:hosted by The Chief? Back before internet and when college football was truly college football and radio was where you got your fix. I was a teenager when I started listening living in central Arkansas. Saturday nights and fans calling in was great.
I’ll give Oklahoma credit…they are the bluest of blue bloods…but they have done some big time cheating to get there. I don’t think anyone in Oklahoma ever cared. Win a natty…get probation for a couple of years. Win another and do the same. In cheating they make all others look like mere amateurs.

I can appreciate the skill …but there is a reason why little kids play it better than they do other sports. It is kicking a ball and trying to get it in the net. Simple rules…and simple skills. Not simple to do well..but kids can kick a ball before they can catch or throw. And look how complicated the rules and fundamentals are in other sports. It’s boring…mostly standing or walking…and players flop like fish. I watched off and on..and tried. But can’t care.
53 really…because they actually didn’t win it in football. They claim it…but anyone can claim anything. The AP and the UPI…the only polls that mattered then..declared Alabama national
Champions. Notre Dame also claims it. But it was Alabama.

Tradition is basically the same except the Hogs have just had some bad luck recently and the officials cheat. They used to dominate Rice and Tulsa back in the 60’s.
No teeth…no brush. Just gargle.
Frank Broyles and Joe PTerno if you want to go old school.
I am a capitalist as well…doesn’t mean there has to be pay for play and unlimited transfers. And coaches moving to new jobs…as adults who sign contracts and get hired and fired…are not the same as a college student have a fantastic opportunity..:but not a right…to play a game and get a free education. I have no problem with unlimited transfers…they should just have to sit a year in order to play. Those were the rules. You want to play…play by the rules.
Don’t think anyone is blaming the athletes. They should take the money. It is the idiots in charge who allowed it to happen.
If things were the way the should be Ole Miss isn’t playing Oklahoma in November. Oklahoma is playing Okie State or Nebraska in a rivalry game where records don’t matter and Ole Miss isn’t playing a regional rival where the records do t matter…and all teams are playing with players who were recruited and developed and and no one cares about playoffs.
I think Dollar Tree Razorback stadium has a nice ring to it.
MLB is good if you have a team in the hunt. I do…but I really only watch my team and check the standings. But that is also now true of college football and basketball whereas I used to watch everyone all the time…but it isn’t the same. It is just hired guns with no ties to my school. Soccer…not a serious sport to follow. I watched the US Open and enjoyed it. Will watch the majors…but soccer is more like watching bowling or a corn hole competition. I might watch a little but I don’t care who wins end it isn’t anything amazing. It is 22 people walking around most of the time and then a couple of them will run real fast then go back to walking.
