re: What was the moment that killed Arkansas football?

I was around and remember the late 60’s. Lived in Arkansas in early 70’s and was there in much of the 60’s. It was pretty weak in the 60’s. Broyles knew how to schedule and he scheduled wins. Seldom did he play a good non conference team in the 60’s. His bowl record wasn’t good. His reputation was built on winning games but he didn’t play top teams except Texas and maybe one or two others most years. In fact when Houston entered the SEC…they were immediate challengers to Arkansas as the second best program.

Hog defense is somewhat improved. They will play at at the beginning eventually they will give up…but I am saying 10 to 0 first quarter. Will get out of hand in the second. Probably 24 to 0 at half.

Did you see Arkansas last year and the other Pittman years? For the most part…they were competitive. Never seen so many ways to give games away. Had Ole Miss beat last year. Of course…they also lost to Memphis. It is coaching. The talent level ain’t Georgia…but it is very competitive with almost everyone else. But for years and years…they find ways to lose.

You can’t prove a player is t injured. There back will be hurt. Once you opened that door with bowl games…it’s there for any game.

Does the pay end if they get injured? That is how they will do it…and are already doing it.

No doubt it is coming. Again…the same idiots who think it is acceptable
To sit bowl games…are the same ones who thought allowing players to transfer was the right thing to do. Some numb skulls never see the unintended consequences.

Once their schedule wasn’t 9 horrible
Teams and Texas. So yes…once they left the ultra weak SWC. That and Wichita Stare stopped playing football. That was a sure win…especially the year after the plane crash.

I do not have a dog in this fight and really don’t care who wins…but after watching both…I think Ole Miss wins…and maybe by 10 or more.

This is a problem every where. And if it is not a big time opponent or rival, student tailgate and don’t go. Nothing new and nothing that everyone doesn’t deal with. Students can get together….food and drink and a nearby bathroom…girls near…by staying in their house or apartment and watch on a 75 inch screen. Happens at Bama. Happens at LSU .

Correct answer. Russification of American men. Low T and pussy men voted for Obama and Biden. In 20 more years we may all be women. I will be dead.

I don’t care in terms of who is or who is not involved…but the NCAA should definitely not let her transfer. It was granting waivers that got us into this mess with transfers. When the Georgia QB wanted to go to OSU and made up some story about being called a racist name…they caved and it caved in on them. Rules are rules. Her choice. Hate it for her…but no exceptions.

I would be shocked if this were a one year thing. Players want to get paid. As of now…every thing is on their side. Why would someone not try to extend Eliot 6 or 7 or 15? Why not…they will probably win and get paid. Can’t blame them. The blame is on the institutions who cave. No university can be forced to allow someone a uniform. This is why caving to the transfer chaos or the olay for pay is the fault of the universities that make up the ncaa. Don’t give in.

Winners spend the most…the way it has always been. I won’t say every winner…but in college football the blue blood class got that way because the cheated the biggest and the best. May be exceptions. If you consider Texas a blue blood…they could get there just because of the talent in their state historically. Maybe Notre Dame because of their prestige. Pretty much all other in football and basketball cheated their way to the top. Now they do t have to hide it.

Elvis’ passing was more similar to the JFK assassination. There were thousands of people at the gates of Graceland within a couple of hours of his death. The funeral was national coverage. 100’s ofd thousands lined the streets to watch the procession through Memphis.

re: NFL players shouldn't be allowed back

Agree…even if it benefits your team you should be able to see this is not right. But I do t need to hear coaches complaining about the mess we are in in college sports…because they are a huge part of the problem just as the University Administrators from top to bottom. No o e is making LSU accept this player. No k e made Ole Miss accept their QB back. I know why they did….and if they did t someone else would. But therein lies the problem…we eat our own. If a player wants to transfer…the schools could say you can transfer but we aren’t going g to allow you to play for a year. All schools agree to no play for pay. All schools refuse players who have been I. The NFL. Heck…at this rate we are going to see mid season transfers or teams picking up players off the nfl practice squads for a November run to a championship.

Here is the silliness…the NCAA fights this but member schools accepting these players is why the NCAA has to fight. Shouldn’t the members of the NCAA…in this case LSU…just not accept these players? This whole play for play and transfer mess could end today…just say no.

Arkansas plays the most top 25 teams but followed closely by Kentucky and Texas. Of course it makes a difference if you are not in the top 25…because Texas can’t play Texas. Missouri plays the most teams inside the top 10.

Arkansas. New energetic coach and staff. Roster turnover with new attitude. No longer one of the poors. The next 10’years will be the shining star of the SEC
