I’m not sure how congratulating your team on its series win would warrant that kind of response. I’d hope most UGA fans would accept it with a little more class, but if not, that’s pretty disappointing.

So you aren’t keeping up with LSU baseball anymore? Because they suck? Or you just suddenly don’t care for baseball like so many of your fellow LSU fans?

It’s Mother’s Day, I have family in town visiting so I’ve been hanging out with them, Family is more important than sports, no matter if it’s football or baseball.

Not sure why anyone would be going to Omaha on June 1. :dunno:
You sure do care a lot about LSU. Are you really a closet fan?
Wish I could call mine :wah:

I’m not sure why getting an annual wellness exam makes you less of a person. I’ll continue to do so until God calls me home.
I like going to my PCP and ophthalmologist. They’re two of the kindest people you could ever meet. Since my insurance covers a yearly wellness visit, I don’t see any reason not to take advantage of it. If it weren’t for those visits, I never would have discovered that I had essential hypertension and high cholesterol. I’ve managed to get my blood pressure under control, but despite eating a very healthy diet, my cholesterol still requires a statin.

Also, years ago, my ophthalmologist discovered I had a detached retina. Without that diagnosis and treatment, I would likely be blind in my right eye today.

For me, especially being in my mid-60s, regular doctor visits are beneficial and well worth it.
I haven’t missed working one bit! Love living the retired life! :nana:

captdalton is probably the only poster here that can make a Savannah Bananas/Aggie thread about LSU somehow.

I've never had to intervene as the two tailgates I attend welcome rival fans to stop by, have some food and drink. It's sad that people take sporting events so seriously they have to harass rival fans visiting their campus.
Not as important as football but, to me, moreso than basketball.
Brunch of two eggs, sauteed spinach, mushrooms, red beet sauerkraut topped with smashed avocado and a smoothie made with wild blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cacao powder and monkfruit / allulose blend sweetner. Also had two slices of sourdough bread from Bluerabbit Bakehouse.

Went to the new Bluerabbit Bakehouse store on Jefferson. Got a loaf of the Grainwright Gold and Trailblazer. Both are absolutely delicious. If you haven't gone to Bluerabbit Bakehouse, I would highly recommend! He's only open on Saturday from 9-5 or until sold out. God bless and Jesus loves you!

I go to Dick’s House of Sport from time to time, but unless I’m with someone who wants to walk around the mall, I rarely go inside or stroll through it. If I ever needed to go in for something, though, I wouldn’t have any problem doing so.

Even then you had race riots in BR they killed police and "protestors"

I have no revisionist memory about Baton Rouge as I’m just stating how it was back in the 60’s and 70’s. Sure they had race riots but I grew up in Bogalusa who had more than their fair share of them. Back when I was a child and teenager, Baton Rouge was not bad in most parts of the city unlike today.

it's probably #1 in "SEC Campus you're most likely to be robbed or murdered", so they do have that title going for them.

I grew up in the 60's and 70's and remember Baton Rouge being a peaceful, sleepy city. During that time, I had family who lived in North Baton Rouge off Evangeline Street, Monterrey Boulevard and Little John. I had a friend who lived north of Florida Boulevard in a subdivision off Sherwood Forest. My Grandmother lived in Walker and, when we came to visit, it was always a treat to go into Baton Rouge.
