Will the P2 form their own hoops tournament or continue to participate in the NCAA? If it is the first, then UNC and Kansas will join us. ESPN is also a factor.

No to any SEC expansion. Not needed…not a benefit to the existing conference members.

SEC should add FSU, UNC, Miami, and Clemson. Big can have the rest.

I don’t think it matters one way or the other. SEC is strong enough in money generating sports and money losing sports that picking up unc wouldn’t really move the needle that much as far as viewers and additional money are concerned.

If we're TRULY heading towards a 2 conference layout, I could see the SEC making a play for the Arizona schools. They're in the Southern part of the country, it would give the SEC a Western section and viewers, they have potential for decent crowds and followings. I think they'd fit in athletically with the other SEC sports, too... baseball, for example.

This is if they are going to 2 conferences. In that case, I can't see Texas being the limit we go west.

Conference members are now across just 2 time zones. Keep it that way with any new members.

That random conference is considerably wealthier. Considerably.

The B1G would NEVER add fsu or asu.

I could see any of those other schools joining them though.

TV market will be the main factor like it always is
Unc is 5th behind Miami, FSU, Clemson and Georgia tech in that order.

No one in the ACC would agree with that.

And UVA and Duke would be better off setting up a southern Ivy League than trying to compete with Ohio State and Bama in football.

You could have:
Duke
UVA
Vandy
Emory
Tulane
Rice
Ga Tech
Wake

That is a good guess and makes a sense.

No one has rejected an offer to join the B1G but the Irish, so I'm not sure about UNC and Virginia.

Apparently a gentleman's agreement was struck between UNC and the SEC a few years back so UNC will be SEC. I want no part of Virginia in the SEC.

I really want no expansion at all. It's watering down an already good product. I hardly even recognize the SEC now.

There’s no way to make scheduling equal. Whoever has a hard time this year will have it easier next & vice versa.

Unless you have every team identical in strength.
