This is 100% believable.

A&M rebuilt or built new 60% of the seating and 80% of the infrastructure at Kyle Field in 2014-15 for $450 million.
It just goes to show you how much inflation we've had in the past 10 years.
Any of y'all going to Omaha? I'm going to be on a beach in a few days so will be watching / listening with drink in hand.

Interesting idea to take in that kind of debt in this climate of college athletics. The rendering looks awesome though.
My thoughts exactly. When Nebraska released their renovation plans, it was kind of the same. You just don't see the big capital projects anymore like you did even just a few years ago. Most places are going with PPP style funding.
That looks amazing. That's going to be the nicest stadium in the SEC for sure.

Rural Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois are full of rednecks too but none of them are Southern.

West Vagina is not southern.

I just assumed that Texas fans were too busy drinking Natty Lite in a parking lot somewhere giving each other horns-up handjobs.
Southern Miss and Memphis have been trying the same thing on Ole Miss for forever and it doesn't benefit us at all to play either one of them.

Ole Miss fans probably shouldn’t comment about local judges ruling in favor of QB’s who clearly broke the rules.
This is nowhere near the same thing. Trinidad has only played 2.5 years on the field and simply argued to have his medical redshirt year recognized by the NCAA. The NCAA did not offer any medical evidence as to why they were denying his claim, they made their decision based solely on "we don't believe you," which falls under arbitrary and capricious.
Sorsby was placing bets on his own team and clearly violated NCAA rules.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. We had our opportunity and didn't get it done against Georgia.
I certainly wouldn't be bothered if I were you. Winning the Supers is hard to do. You are in year 1. We are all kidding ourselves if we don't think that MSU is building a monster.
Protect College Sports Act

There are some good things in this bill like the 1 time transfer rule and a cap on agent fees but there are a few things that concern me:
1. Requires all of D1 to fund medical coverage for "lower-resource" schools
2. Gets rid of NIL collectives
3. Requires schools and conferences to utilize media rights revenue for non-revenue sports (So, will force schools to further invest in sports that tank the overall budget / This is what kills baseball coverage)
4. Prevents SEC / B1G from ever breaking away from the NCAA
Like I said, there are some good things, but before we all throw our support behind this bill, we need to look at it critcally. I'm also not super excited about the prospect of college sports falling under the jurisdiction of the federal government, nor am I confident that the failed NCAA will be able to properly administer any of this.
You can read the bill here (senate.gov)
What really should happen is that we stop pretending that the P4 schools and the G5 schools are in the same league. The entirety of the P4 (Not just the SEC & B1G) should break away and form their own league, agree to rules and form an enforcement and regulation body, outside of the purview of the completely failed NCAA. We can and should accomplish the necessary changes without government involvement.

Whether it gels or not will be the sticking point. Lane's batting at about 50% on that (which is better than most)
This is a very accurate assessment, IMO. Lane actually does very well relative to the field on getting transfers to gel but even that isn't guaranteed.
