Congrats on making MBG.

They evidently signed a contract. This case may open the flood gates. Couldn't happened to two bigger assholes, LSU and Kiffen.

You're being disengenuos. They were fine going to Ole Miss until LSU raised the ante.

Don't understand any of your trans lingo. Evidently you never even worked for someone with deep pockets. Verbal stuff can get you on the hook for money in the form of "implied contract".

I think the play here isn’t to make Ole Miss look bad but rather to get rid of buyouts. After this, what player is going to sign a rev share w a buyout in it? Agents will spin this and have them done away with next recruiting cycle.
Agreed. This case is both schools testing the revenue share buyout/contract viability.
This is the first real case of a school going after kids for revenue share issues, we'll see what happens.

OM looks like Ned in the Third Grade and will probably lose some recruits over this, as all LSU or anyone else has to say is: "If you go there and leave, OM will sue you."
Why hasn’t Ole Miss sued any of the other players who hit the portal and left this offseason? Only the two players who signed agreements and left?
Oh yeah, because LSU fans are super emotional about this for some reason

Players would have to file separate suit or bring LSU in as a third party.
They had legal representation throughout the entire process, I can’t imagine verbal agreements as such not being reduced in writing. Maybe they can file malpractice suits against their attorneys.
This may end up being a bad look for LSU, but the school will not be held responsible for the players’ breach of contract.

Players have agents, correct?

Nice Alter name. Born on 12/22/25. I bet you were shedding some awesome tears when you made this account.

The actual recruiting line for portal players is “LSU is gonna leave you high and dry on that buyout while *every other school in the country* will pay it” lmao I’d imagine those players aren’t too happy being served a complaint asking for their salary because their school is acting poor
LSU is going to pay the money, the boys know it, and are in on the game. Kiffin will stretch this out, and use this to any advantage he can think of. There is plenty to gain from this.

could give two shits if we pay it, I just love how fricking stupid this makes Ole Miss look and how badly Lane will use this against them. Anyone out there who thinks otherwise it’s just heads in the sand.

I feel the only real negative for OM here is the negative recruiting every other team will use with this.

Players could absolutely sue LSU over an implied contract. If so terrible publicity for LSU.
