Of course they can. Will they be successful? I doubt it considering their agents/attorneys were involved with both deals.
Ole Miss doesn’t have a slam dunk case either if they suffered no damages. It’s my understanding little or no money had been paid to the players.

LK dont give 2 shits about those kids having to pay that money back. Hell he prob had a hand in creating the contracts. He knows they are enforceable, and is prick for talking them into leaving knowing what they had already signed.

Yes. They were paid up front money. Then they walked. These aren’t children. They aren’t minors. Why have a contract? Sorry but this doesn’t make Ole Miss look bad. Makes Ole Miss look like grown ups who hold adults accountable.

LSU has more to lose than OM dragging this out. All other schools have to say is “if you go to lsu, they’ll refuse to pay your buyout and you’ll be dealing with lawyers all year”

I’m sure future recruits will love to sign rev share agreements with Ole Miss knowing they will be buried in litigation if they later contest terms of contract.

Honest question, I see this constantly reposted. What schools have paid buyouts for rev sharing contracts? It became effective in July of 2025.

Miami upped their deal to Mensah so he could cover the buyout settlement. Money is fungible and everyone knows this, but everyone is being intentionally obtuse about this claiming “Miami isn’t directly involved” because the check didn’t come directly from Miami.
So yall believe a player transferred knowing he’s very likely going to be in the hook for a big buyout, and didn’t negotiate an increased NIL payout to make up for the settlement? Just paid out of his own pocket because he was sold on Miami’s academics or something?

Yes. Miami paid him more money to help him pay the buyout.
If you do mental gymnastics hard enough you can rationalize that this doesn’t count as Miami paying the buyout. However you need to spin it.
