Congrats on making MBG.

There's a reason Harbaugh went back to the NFL when he did. He was rumored to be getting the hammer. But the school did get off completely free.

Two most shocking for Ole Miss I can think of:
Kentucky 2024 - UK's only SEC win against a team with a number of NFL picks on both sides of the ball. Probably the most talented Ole Miss team top to bottom this century and they laid two absolute eggs but UK was the worst.
Memphis 2015: This is the team that was a 4th and 25 away from winning the West. Ole Miss jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead and then Memphis proceeded to completely blow Ole Miss out. It was like the two teams simply switched jerseys. This team had 3 first round picks on it.
Jacksonville State was shocking at the time but in retrospect, not that shocking as that was not a good Ole Miss team. Both of the above teams were good teams.

Yeah a few pages back, I posted that LSU was originally looking to delay it for next year's rev share bucket.

What's the fantasy here? Ole Miss has no legal grounds to pursue litigation yet it's litigation department is plowing full steam ahead anyways?

If I remember right from Pete’s presser though there are a few more than just these two that went to LSU.
These were the only two that were under a rev share agreement that transferred from Ole Miss.

Nothing frivolous about it at all. Ole Miss gave them 6 months. From what I was told back in January, LSU was originally hoping to cover it in December with next year's rev share contract but not sure how true that is.
It's a few hundred grand from a limited sharing pool that Ole Miss currently cannot give to another player actually on the team because it was contractually paid to these players. They will have to contractually pay it back. I'm surprised the Umanmielen's haven't paid it yet, they're a really good family. I don't know the Harpers and am not saying they aren't.

When it comes to offseason champs, Ole Miss isn't usually the school that comes to mind.

If it's a real chargrilled burger, I'm in. I usually only get those at high school games though. Nachos are my other go-to.

Laremy Tunsil is still the best OL I have ever seen in person.
re: Which hog coach was better? Bielema or Pittman?
Posted by Quicksilver on 7/24/26 at 6:32 pm to MizzouTrue
I don't think Pittman is a bad coach by any stretch. He inherited the worst P5 program in the country and got them competitive again. Arkansas simply hasn't adjusted to the NIL era. He was losing his best players to other SEC schools cause they wouldn't pay up.

re: Realistically, how long does Lane have?
Posted by Quicksilver on 7/24/26 at 3:42 pm to AggieArchitect2004
I suspect the seat will be warm in year 3 if he hasn't made the playoffs in the first 2. It's a pretty big contract so it's hard to see him getting less than 4 years unless he just completely bombs which I think is very unlikely.

I think Ole Miss could surprise some people this year defensively.

Weird thought process really.
LSU rebuilt its roster; they were always going to spend more than everyone else.
A guy that's putting in a couple of new windows isn't going to spend as much as a guy who's gutting and rebuilding a house inside and out. Conversely, LSU also didn't pay as many guys to return as some other teams.
It's not going to be a one time thing though. Lane will rebuild most of the team every year. If the argument is that this team should go 8-4 because it's a rebuild year, it's going to be the argument every year. This is not Brian Kelly.

They do have the same amount of wins against SEC teams.
