Pass rusher. Doesn't show up much in the run game but he's still got two years to develop.
Ole Miss lost to Jacksonville State in 2010 and got blown out by Louisiana Tech in 2011. A very talented Ole Miss team inexplicably lost to Memphis in 2015 which was pretty bad. That Ole Miss team beat Bama that year and won the Sugar Bowl. That was a Hugh Freeze special.

Arkansas lost to ULM with John L. and got whooped by Colorado State, Western Kentucky, ULM, and San Jose State under Chad (fricking yikes dude)

Alabama has the ULM loss and then got waxed by Utah in the Sugar Bowl.

LSU has Troy.

Auburn has the blowout by New Mexico State. Another Hugh Freeze special.

Mississippi State lost to South Alabama under Mullen in 2016, Memphis under Leach in 2022, and was absolutely skulldrug by Toledo last year.

Aggie lost to App State.

Florida has a couple. USF, Georgia Southern
Ole Miss is actually having a good offseason.
Harper's probably is too. Ole Miss just had injuries at OT this year.
Am told LSU is offering $750k which is pretty wild. He's not that good.
He's not "media" as much as he runs a fan podcast
He and Bolden were on the job for less than 6 months

Ole Miss' 2023 and 2024 portal classes are ranked higher than LSU's 2026 class thus far. LSU's 2025 class is also ranked higher.

Hope this helps.

how does this rank all time be the best class that there has been on portal history now??

It's not even higher than LSU's class last year at the moment.

LINK

The Colorado class where they took like 40 players has the highest 247 overall at 78. Ole Miss had a class with 74 and 70 prior.
Yeah I know we are still working him. Hopefully he comes back. We have Dottery's replacement lined up so not too concerned about him but the Bama DE we are signing doesn't have much experience.
Not sure what LSU has at LB. If they have holes then Dottery may be an upgrade but he's probably at best a depth piece. Umanmielen will have an impact wherever he signs in pass rush. Not as active in the run game but came on strong with 7 sacks in his last 8 games this year. He's easily the biggest loss on the list. Harper was going to compete at RT but not explictly a sure thing.

I'd be surprised if the rest impacted a P5 program next year. Maybe Graves.

All his defenses have been pure arse

Literally the #1 defense in 2024

On3 is a joke on transfer rankings, it takes into account those transferring out and in both.

247 only accounts for those transferring into a program, which gives an better idea on the impact of those transfers to a program.

To get a better picture, why would you ignore the ones that are transferring out?
Thank you for making a new thread rather than calling them out in the existing thread so we'd all know what you were referencing.

You talking about star power. How about actual on field production

Ole Miss has multiple sitting starters from other P4 schools in their current portal class.
Tennessee hasn't faced such strong competition for offseason champs in years. I'm afraid the dynasty is coming to an end.

My guess is Chambliss gets a 4th+ grade. 5'10" QBs with questionable downfield arm strength aren't usually big draws for NFL teams.
Ole Miss has never finished worse than 4th in the portal rankings. We're #2 in the 247 rankings which only ranks net new additions.

Wouldn't the team or people affected press charges in this situation?

From what I understand, there were, but not against TJ. There was a big blackmail scheme by some guy in or near his hometown from what I have been told and he was caught up in it originally as a victim. I do not know much more than that.

As for the player, he's very experienced and despite the past issues, has good leadership qualities. But he's average to below average in actual play and is often a liability in coverage. While we'd rather not have to replace him this late in the portal, we aren't currently seeing eye to eye on his monetary value, and we do have his replacement lined up in All Big-12 LB Keaton Thomas from Baylor.
It's not like Ole Miss has a small number of commits. LSU just has more holes to fill due to their outgoing class whereas Ole Miss was able to retain a large portion of its returning starters.
