The Conversation is the best, but surprised by no V for Vendetta
Leavitt hasn’t really gone down, but he was nowhere near a top 10 pick at any point. Late 1st/early second was always his ceiling
Creativity/imagination and pattern recognition were the core criteria iirc
Literally any Mavs forum, any time Luka was seen out in public, he always had a beer in his hands. He was even drinking in the locker room after games and throughout the Olympics. How else could someone stay 40 lbs overweight while playing 35+ MPG for a full NBA season?
Might want to check your math there buddy

Discount rate should be 1.08^-6 x principal(should really be 360 day calendar for compounds, but I’m too lazy)

Assuming 8% over inflation for 6 years, $54 million has a present day value of $34 million and change

5% would be $40.3 million

But finding a 5% net risk free rate is impossible, much less 8%

3.5%, which is actually reasonable and historically close to average factoring for recessions would be $43.93 million, which is what was offered
Woodward is about to up get sued into the ground by LSU for gross negligence over the way he fired Kelly
Something going on behind the scenes was the reason for the Luka trade. My guess is Doncic demanded the trade, specifically requesting LA as they needed a new franchise player to keep the ship afloat with Bron on his way out and AD’s unreliability. And the entire league agreed with the sentiment due to how important the Lakers brand is given revenue sharing

The alternative is his drinking/partying had gotten so out of control the Mavs shipped him off to play to play with LeBron, one of the few players Luka will listen to, to see if LeBron can get him straight before he spiraled into full blown alcoholism
Texas has tried to correct for this with gifted and talented programs starting at the kindergarten level, eventually feeding into advanced placement. Unfortunately the former is mostly directionless until ~grade 7(at least when I went through it), while the latter gets derailed mixing inattentive GT students with overachieving non-GT students

Bold move of apple to release a "product" that's effectively pay $230 to get your iPhone stolen
What it's going to do is dramatically inflate the housing market for a few years as everyone will now be able to afford far more expensive houses, but then when it falls the loans are going to be underwater and people are going to be locked into slavery for 50 years as they can't get rid of the assets

Retirement isn't going to be an option because people can't pay off their mortgages
So if this ends in a civil suit, is there a court in the state of Louisiana that won’t rule in favor of LSU over Brian Kelly? LSU has no case, but there’s almost no scenario where he gets a fair trial
Booster being their students and taxpayers because that $54 million is coming straight out of the general fund
You're mostly right. Prototypical "thicc" is a girl that was chubby/fat as a kid and started working out/dieting in her teens, but it never lasts. They might make it to 25 if they're lucky, but they almost always start blowing up before 30 and eventually become blimp status. Their appetites always win in the end

Same reason the lottery’s legal, idiot tax
Imagine making $16k/year and getting laid off. Better be a temp job that’s only like 2 months a year
Ya, I’ve already disproven that. LSU funnels millions into the AD by disguising it as “athletic admin” and “electronic media” revenue. If you break those numbers down by what they submit to the department of education, it’s obvious. Anything earmarked as non-gender on their OP budget is coming from the general fund

Never had >$1mm in athletic admin revenue prior to NIL, now their admin staff is directly bringing in $35 million per year to LSU? Doing what exactly?
Would you rather sell out to private equity or continue having the universities subsidize the athletic departments using the university general fund?
Literally wherever I want :dunno:
Not sure yet, but my situation is a bit different than most due to a sizeable inheritance(8 figures) before turning 30. I've just seen the worst of capitalism over the last 5 years dealing with people twice my age that are respected civic leaders(70+ years old employing 500+) within my hometown community completely showing their asses in an attempt to swindle me out of mineral rights and commercial real estate. Ironically, they've failed so badly it assisted me in ascertaining true FMV of certain assets(gl with appraisers), but the downside is I now loathe how business is conducted in this country
