More successful? Yes
Better? Not as clearly as you think. In fact, if Tua was healthy all year, I think 2019 was one of Bama’s better teams.

It's sad that made me chuckle. He's been on IR all year for PTSD for killing someone that tried to rob him. He's a really good kid.

The issue with 2019 is the defense was probably the least talented defense we've had since 2007 - especially at LB.

The Truth nods to himself with a chuckle.

The Truth wonders aloud - "How long until LSU starts saying feels like 2019?"

Tua and the 2019 receiver corps

2020 we corps was a year older and better. Tua was obviously a phenomenal talent but the offense was more efficient under Mac Jones because one he stayed healthy and two he always took what the defense gave him. He didn’t have to make every play be a home run. That was my biggest complaint about Tua and Bryce Young. They’d hold the ball and scramble within the pocket trying to make stuff happen. It’s ok to dump it off and take the short route.

The LSU fanbase has been permanently broken by Alabama.

Good Christ what a stupid fricking thread. I wonder who started it. I'm guessing an LSU fan?

Mac Jones won an NFL game on Sunday as the starting QB.

His 19th win in 4 seasons. Impressive.

Change 2 plays and LSU blew out Alabama that day.

Isn't this kinda like "if my aunt had a dick, she would be my uncle"?

2019 Bama WRs: Waddle, Smith, Ruggs, Jeudy (all first round picks)

2020 Bama WRs: Waddle, Smith, Metchie

I don't know how anyone can argue that the 2020 wide receiver group was better than the 2019 group. You think Metchie is better than Ruggs and Jeudy?

That Bama 2019 offense with the four wideouts,Tua, and the Najee/Robinson combo at RB was the best offense in Alabama history.

...and they would be right. 2019 LSU was the best team to ever be assembled in college ball. People bring up the Miami and Nebraska teams that are always mentioned in the best team ever discussion and I don't see them beating 2019 LSU either. The game has changed so much since those 2 teams won titles.
