I think it was always going to feel very disappointing picking up the OT 40 years later.

I also think it makes sense that the best Disney properties have been unrelated to the original characters.
They have the luxury of the minor leagues to sort out whether guys with questionable measurable can play. So they take measurable are a premium in the top rounds

the old can’t teach 7 foot theory.

It’s going to be very fricking hard for bad teams to get better.

Salary Cap/floor

and honestly if I was the MLBPA and I was agreeing to a salary cap, i’d want a much higher rookie salary and team control done away with

So DVH can ride off into the sunset and Vitello can walk right in after a disaster season in SF?
yeah there are a lot of guy who would have played a 4th year if they had leverage in the draft.

Danny Dickinson signed for 325k No way he doesn’t come back if he had a leverage

The football window, since he would be on football scholarship, has closed. If the plays the head coach would be suspended.

would the T&F coach be suspended if he transferred during the football transfer window?

The Bear Bryant rule- If a two sport athlete is on scholarship and plays football, his scholarship counts against the football limits.

but this isn’t a scholarship limit issue
I don’t even think this is a loophole.

this is just a possibility when you have fuel sport athletes.
I mean frick that kid. You have to be a real prick for me to shite on a fellow Raider.

Moore was lost on the mound, Evans was banged up, and Schmidt ended up a scratch late in the season but we were otherwise healthy on the mound

just all 3 of our starters

by the end of the year we were throwing 2 bullpen games a weekend with a shakybullpen.
so annoyed this dude didn’t pan out.

Had me thinking he’s be the second coming of Paul Gervase
i feel like i’d call it predatory if it wasn’t to upfront and obvious that this is a bad deal if you actually make it.

The most recent one is Eyanson and his splitter.

yeah I didn’t even know he threw a splitter. Did he at San Diego?

I have yet to see an LSU pitcher really add a pitch under Yeskie but there is so little carry over year to year and lost guys are still working on the 1-2
quote:

One thing I've noticed as a pattern with Yeskie (from reading minor league reports on his former pitchers), is that he will shelve a pitch that naturally fits the pitchers arsenal and then they start using it again in pro ball and have a ton of success. I don't know why that is, or if it's even intentional.

that’s kinda interesting.

which pitches/pitchers stand out to you?

Right now there doesn’t look to be too many of these type A-listers.

and I think you can find quality pitchers easier than 20+
HR guys just because of quantity and you get way more late bloomer pitchers at small schools.
this wasn’t fine print though it was the whole deal.
I mean you’re not wrong and I don’t think it’s lost on Jay that White, Dickinson and Eyanson were a cut above Yorke, Dardar and Simpson.
Jay talked about finding power through guys who we recruit and grow into their power like Brown va trying to find it in the portal.

I don’t think he’s pass on a Tommy White but he’s less likely to take a chance on a Dardar or Simpson over a guy on the roster
I mean, if they were making an expensive season of The Mandolorian then they just made more money putting it in theatres and then they’d get Disney+ viewers.

not sure if that’s the idea of what.
