I just posted standard Sleeper scoring. I'm ok with any scoring system people agree on. As long as I know in advance, a simple formula change and my projections are good.

As long as y'all don't try to bring back kickers and team defenses, I'm cool.

I could justify either side of that trade. Really comes down to your personal feeling about those players.

I love both, but the OF 1910 is our favorite.

Oh, I agree that OF 1910 is better. I was just stating that I’m not a fan of regular Woodford but the double oaked is a quality bourbon.

bullshite. The term Palestine is a Greek adaptation of the word Philistine. It was in use to describe the entire region as far back as the 5th century BC. The Romans officially renamed the territory encompassing Judea Palestine after Christ's death, but the use of the term for the territory is far older than that.

You’re correct that it was historically called Palestine. You’re also correct that the Romans renamed it Palestine (actually Syria Palestine) after Christ’s temporary death.

Now answer this question: why did the Romans need to rename it Palestine if it was already known as Palestine?

I’ll help you out…because it had ceased to be known as Palestine for a long period that included the lives of Jesus and Mary.

As for me not knowing what a contrarian is, perhaps you should look in the mirror. You and she are taking a stance opposite to that of popular opinion, which is pretty much the literal definition of the word.

It’s ok to admit you’re wrong rather than continuing to double down.

How the frick is it "ludicrous" to make a factual claim?

Because it is only factual when looked at in an anachronistic way. For Mary to be Palestinian, she would have to be from Palestine which did not exist when Mary was alive. Not sure what you don't understand about this fact.

Yep. One of the best episodes is in the final season. Was truly bummed when they pulled the plug. That might be one of the last regular cable shows I watched.

Did they land the plane or just cancel and leave you hanging?

I'm always looking for a good show to binge, but hate to get into it and not get at least a bit of closure.

You might not like the way she said it, but it doesn't make it any less true. It would be the same as a man from Asia saying you're a North American man. You may identify yourself as a citizen of the US or Louisiana or wherever, but it's also accurate to say you're a North American.

Except I am North American and that is a term actually used for this continent. A better example would be to call someone from Texas a Mexican. After all, at some point in history that was Mexico.

Neither now, nor in the time of Mary/Jesus was that area known as Palestine. You conveniently left out that part of my argument, again intentionally using distortion to be contrary.

Ireland used to be such a cool fiucking place and they loved America/Americans. Spent a week in a pub in Killarney once. Damn shame what it has become.
quote:

What the hell are you talking about? What she says is factual.

You and she are using a distorted technicality to try to be contrary. Historically, the term Palestine was used for the wider region, but that is not true today, nor was it true in the times of Mary or Jesus. The areas were known as Judea, Galilee, Samaria, etc., and were all part of the Roman Empire. Way back in OT days, the area was known as Palestine and was renamed to Syria Palestine by the Romans more than a century after Jesus' death.

So no, neither Mary nor Jesus were Palastinian.

Woodford Double Oaked

Never was much of a Woodford guy, but it is amazing how much better the double-oaked is than the standard.

Good list overall by the way. Can't really disagree with any of them but I would add Wild Turkey 101 to the everyday drinkers. For the price, proof, and flavor profile, it is hard to beat.
quote:

Don't put roux in jambalaya.

It's not jambalaya, it's pastalaya and the roux is only used as as a thickener if there is too much liquid left in the pot. Use corn starch or eat soup if you like, but I always have a roux made and a spoonful to thicken the liquid does not change the flavor.

I think I smoked one using snake method on Weber kettle for 4th.

You think you did? How much did you drink on the 4th?
Most used are kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper, granulated garlic (unless using fresh), onion powder (more often use fresh onions), smoked paprika, cayenne, chipotle, and cumin. However, I have 2 cabinets of spices and they all get used.
You didn’t ask, but for herbs, I most often use cilantro, thyme and basil (sweet, Thai, and Holy). Wife doesn’t like rosemary. I’ll also occasionally use parsley, but to me it just doesn’t add much other than color.

That price would keep me from coming back unless the food is extremely good.

In the last year, I’ve eaten at both Arnold’s in Nashville and Niki’s West in Birmingham and neither was that expensive. These are consistently ranked as two of the best and most popular meat and three restaurants in the country.

The regulars early slow draft is still going strong…just started rd 1 this week

Yeah, but no longer drafted on this site the way we did the first one, which I won by the way.
I use extra broth then drop a little roux in at the end to thicken it. My wife doesn’t like rice so I often do pastalaya.

You can also cook the pasta separately and add it in, but I like cooking it together.

Trump sounded like this guy talking about Tennessee

If they want to come here, these are refugees I would gladly accept.

I would advise going Bijan with the 1.1. It's pretty tough to get an alpha RB in dynasty.

Difference in length of career makes it hard to take a RB over a WR at the 1.1. I agree Bijan and Gibbs would be hard to pass up but I think I’d rather have a young alpha WR with a good young QB just for the longevity.
I'm always for as many starting positions as possible (within reason). The deeper you go, the more it favors people who know their shite.
