Doesn’t matter this staff seems to be able to locate WR and QB talent that may not get looked at by other as much.

SEC commissioner Greg Sankey acknowledged that some schools within the conference have discussed the possibility of breaking away from the NCAA. While this hardly seems noteworthy these days, he made it clear that he does not believe that is the right path for college athletics.

I believe in order for football to become a more equitable field similar to the NFL college football will have to follow that model and o don’t know if that’s possible while still keeping up the guise that this has anything to do with education. In order for their to be contracts similar to the NFl the players will have to become employees of the football program or everyone will have to agree to the same set of rules and allow themselves to be governed by a body that has the ability to punish for rule breaking without allowing themselves liberal courts to overturn every decision that body makes. We are about to see most sports outside of men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and football to be cut and some universities will lose their baseball programs as well because is is a non revenue sport at most universities.

Lane's Tiger stadium debut vs Clemson, Sept 5th would be on my list.

Why? Clemson is dead. Dabo built it then killed it.
No it’s hard to be excited for college football period since the transfer portal and NIL took off. You don’t even know your roster any longer from year to year.

Baseball and women's basketball losing more than women's rowing is just about inexcusable. What is the purpose of even fielding those teams if they're going to be that much of a money drain?

Well those two sports probably have a much larger overhead than rowing as well. That’s not really comparing apples to apples. Baseball tickets are very cheap and I assume women’s basketball tickets are cheap as well. Probably lower than baseball.

He wasn’t this bad at LsU
Yes Baylor player and any European professional player. Auburn has one on their roster. There are currently 25 professional players playing college basketball now.

The punishment could simply be no NCAA tourney.

They can’t do this either. Look as long as they allow professional European players to play you can’t create unfair rules that prohibit American players under the same circumstances to not play. Down vote all you want but it doesn’t mean that the above statement is incorrect. Bediako is not even the first American player to do this

Bama football will not live up to the Bama standard until Deboer is gone

When will some of you understand the Bama standard y’all are looking for is dead and gone with NIL and transfer portal. That’s history. The 2015/2016/2020 rosters would be worth 70 million plus in today’s market. Bama will never again assemble that amount of talent. If that is what yall are looking for and churning out multiple natties in a decade find another hobby because you’re going to be pissed off more years that not.
I have a question from a legal standpoint regardless of whether you support him or think he should be ineligible.

1. The NCaa currently allows European player to play professionally and then have four years eligibility to play college ball but not American players.

2. They are arguing that he is outside the five years eligibility window but we see CFB players with 6 and 7 years of eligibility. How is any of this different from Bediakios situation?

Not from a fan perspective but legally speaking.

OL. OL OL and then DL that’s all I care about. If those two look good the rest will work itself out.
I think if we had a somewhat competent OL he would nt be beat to shite and I could give a trickles if he won the heisman. Bama wouldn’t have gotten there crap pushed in 2/3 last games. Maybe they win and maybe they don’t but at least it wouldn’t have been an embarrassment.

So you're saying Alabama is poor?

Poor no but they don’t have any billionaire boosters either. They don’t have the money that many sec schools do.

The Jameis situation was specific to what a goof he is. Knowing what you know about Jameis can you imagine him coexisting with Saban

That was the last time I ever melted regarding college football and specifically recruiting.

Maybe not intentional, but definitely a slap at Hurts

How in the hell does your mind go there?
I think all the hand wringing over QBs is not necessary. DeBoer has shown the ability to recruit the position very well. If they have the right pieces and depth pieces for the OL I think everything will fall in to place. As good as the defense was this year they’d have been even better with a complimentary offense that could could control the game with a dominant run game like we saw with Indiana. Outside of Pounds that DB they were not a team of elite talent they just played together very very well.
