Bruce Pearl is as much a player's coach as one can be. He puts up with a lot of antics from his players, see both KD and CBM. He makes it work because he knows there's a fine line.
I'm willing to be there aren't many NIL foundations out there willing to even pay CBM as much as Auburn was. Not only that, how many will put up with him on and off the field? How many will cover the buyout if CBM can't, plus pay him additional NIL?

Tennessee held their end of the bargain with Nico. Auburn must do the same with CBM.
I agree. Auburn needs to hold firm. Others will follow that way. At some point, the money men will start getting pissed that they're losing out on money because of immature kids.

The rumor, I think started by Goodman, is that when we re-negotiated his contract, we put in some protections if he were to transfer or leave. So, this would be a more unique case than just normal NIL. Have no idea if that is true or not, but that is what is being alluded to.
