I wanted him and was very loud about it on here when Gus Malzahn was fired. And Lane Kiffin would’ve drug his balls through broken glass all the way from Florida to Auburn at the time to have the job.

Then we hired Bryan Harsin and followed it up with Hugh Freeze, so yeah.

Of course we will miss him. I’m on record as saying Auburn’s overall WR room is better now than it was prior to the portal opening, but nobody we have now touches CC’s talent and ability.

We will definitely miss our starting CBs from last year. Reports have already indicated that. I would say Woodward, as he’s a really good player, but we are really deep at LB. Eric Singleton…he stings. I think we’ll miss Deuce Knight eventually, just not at the moment. I’d keep an eye on Donovan Star.

Just remember, there was a time where guys like Lee Hunter, Colton Hood and Romello Height didn’t look like losses either. They all just went top 3 rounds in the draft.

How about commend the guy for busting his arse to do what it takes to live out his dream? That’s something a lot of these upcoming athletes could look up to.
