Double digits??? You’re stupid…if you would have had an ounce of intelligence and integrity and said, “I think we’d be favored” I might actually think more of you as a man…yet, you have proven yourself to be a smurf…now go back to Papa’s house and stop communing with the adults.

A hobbled 2019 Alabama team almost beat that "mighty" 2019 LSU team.
2020 Alabama 66
2019 LSU 45
2020 Alabama 66
2019 LSU 45

Yes, they would. It wouldn’t be a good game.

The Truth thinks it's humorous how out of touch Bama fans are. The Truth notes that most neutral observers will give credit to 2019 LSU.

So does everyone else... except Bama fans

This debate only exists on this board. Nobody outside of the rant even remembers 2020 Alabama. 2019 LSU was an unbelievably good team that even Ed Orgeron couldn’t screw up.
To answer OP’s question this is impossible to handicap but probably wouldn’t be double digits.

I think a lot of people forget that the LSU team at the end of the year was much better than the team during the season. They started clicking on offense and defense and got their injured players back. No one in the history of college football would beat the healthy LSU team that whipped UGA, Oklahoma and Clemson

Yeah, that’s probably not true.
2019 LSU beat #2, #4, #6, #7, #8 by an average of 20 points. They won their two playoff games by an average of 28 points.
2020 Alabama beat #2, #4, #5, #7 by an average of 22 points. They won their two playoff games by an average of 23 points.
Saying the LSU team by the end of 2019 was playing so well they would beat everyone in history is dumb. LSU beat OU in the playoff by 35 points. AP voters thought OU was so overrated they dropped them all the way to #7 in the final rankings.
I don’t have a dog in the fight, but I think Alabama wins, with the edge going to better coaching.

Alabama fans will say this is comparing apples to oranges, but I don’t think so. It’s only been a few years and I can’t think of anyone that has had some sort of surprising development in the NFL.
So, if the 2019 LSU Tigers led by Joe Burrow could take the field today vs the 2020 Alabama Crimson Tide led by Mac Jones, Vegas is putting that line at double digits in favor of the Tigers and it’s not going to be close.
If Mac Jones doesn't fumble the ball in the RZ without being touched or throw an interception from his own 20 yard line on 1st down with 26 seconds left in the half I think we'll be fine.

Hot take, 2019 Bama was better than 2020 Bama when healthy

Bama's 2019 defense was better than 2020 when healthy, but overall the 2020 team was better and would have beaten LSU.

The asterisk champs wouldn’t stand a chance.

There wasn't a single game of the season where we were healthy since we had multiple season ending injuries before the 1st game at LB and ended up starting Shane Lee.

I think I would pick the team with the NFLs top 5 quarterback and top two wide receivers over an NFL backup QB and two NFL number two receivers.

But you only beat 2019 Alabama by 5 so how would y’all be a double digit favorite?

Bama fans are absolutely green with envy and I love it. Roll tears roll!

2019 LSU with Burreaux was a good team no doubt, but 2020 Bama had the most dynamic, beautiful offense I've ever seen. In fact a highly ranked WR called Sark directly after the game and committed to the Longhorns after watching the NC game.
I also think Bama had a little bit better defense that year vs 2019 LSU, but that may be just me remembering a sub-par Texas team being in position to win our matchup vs Joe and the tigahs.

No one mentions 2020 Alabama as a great team as it was a bullshite Covid year.
To say otherwise is just silly nonsense.
