Fine Texas, we'll vote out the aggies.

Completely agree.
This exposed some ridiculous things about the conference.
We have 3 SWC members who imploded that conference 2 former big 8 members who imploded that conference plus the big 12 destabilizing yet another conference.
It’s not the SEC anymore and why I wasn’t going to be sad to hey voted out.
We said have y’all’s little vote. Instead yall chickened out

100% agree.
There should be extra protection for charter members.

I know this is bias, but it is crazy that it just takes a 2/3 vote with no cause or listed reasons to expel a member.
When we join a super league and look to cut dead weight some teams aren’t gonna like that

I would add that expulsion can only come after less severe penalties were levied and said school continues to misbehave
There also has to be clear guidelines on what offenses are worthy of expulsion.
A school NOT breaking a rule that the SEC thinks they MIGHT break and a tongue in cheek comment by coach should NEVER warrant even a mention of expulsion

I'll go you one further - each of the ten charter SEC members should have singular veto power to override the admission of any prospective new member or dismissal of any current member.

Ordinarily I would agree with you but in the beginning the original members went with a handshake agreement when the league was formed. And as we all know the SEC doesn't honor handshake agreements.

I believe from this point forward any and all SEC commissioner meetings should be televised.
This should certainly be the case in the event of any vote on an expulsion from the conference and each committee member should be required to support their vote no matter which way they vote.
I have learned more about the SEC and how it operates behind closed doors during this little scuffle than I have in my entire life, and I do not like what I see.

The OG's are the Godfather's of this conference. Now, the Hogs & Cocks have been here long enough, they've earned some pull, but UT/aTm/OU/Mizz get no vote.

I still want to be expelled. Or leave willingly. And I think that's very much still on the table - long term anyway.

Probably makes sense- but it was never going to happen, anyway.
This entire scenario was a bluff- and you could hear the exhale all the way from Bummingham when LSU completed its roster.
Any SEC executive who thought that would have been the best case scenario has the judgement of a nincompoop- and couldn't be trusted to run a lemonade stand.

Amen
And now that Sankey has given us UTX and OU, we get to threads on empty stadiums in their former conferences (woo hoo) and them lobbying to expel us and add ND.
What is wrong with you people?
LSU is a charter member and has been for 94 years. Arky, USCe, Mizzou, A&M, UTX, and OU for a combined 102 years. The shenanigans that have gone down in the SEC over the years dwarf this and there was never any serious talk about expelling a member . . . until now.

You'll never get 100% on anything.
