The thing about these people that do this, like the youtubers that go full To Catch a Predator and then beat the frick out of dudes in Walmart, is that they dont ACTUALLY care. Its not about justice or some moral calling.

They are using it as cover for being violent people.

It puts others in a weird spot for "defending" creeps, but its simply a judgement of them, not the creeps.

I didnt say it did. And i didnt say it wasnt an evil. I said there were many different versions of this historical enterprise. And we dont learn them or see them depicted. You wouldnt want to see many different depictions of historical events and gain better, full context from simply a contextual standpoint? I know i like to.

Given that these events are in fact "historical" as you say (which you should look into because there is a lot of scholarly contention surrounding this), its basically the absolute peak awfulness of American Slavery. Fassbender is a cartoonishly evil person with no redeeming qualities.

I would say that Hollywood has pretty effectively taught generations upon generations of people that Solomon Northrup and Toby had the standard experience.

Not a lot of "ill grant you slavery is wrong. But here's a story of people of a time that treated slaves well, taught them to read, allowed families to stay together, and worked along side them" movies going around. We know there are cases of this. You don't wonder why that is?

I would say that every NAZI being a fricking Bond villain in WW2 provides purposefully myopic of view of history that is, by definition, inaccurate.

But keep learning all your history from Hollywood.

The hidden aspect of most of these stories, is that these women arent trying to bang young, future OTers, or the quarterback....they are banging black dudes.

They get that jungle fever. So, given that the boy was in fact special needs, it just means he probably couldnt read or some shite.

I have seen like 5 bodycam vids on youtube where the pretty white teacher gets arrested, and when they talk to the victims mother, shes a black lady every time.

Its, by definition, a verifiable claim. Just not practically verifiable, which is the case about all things that would be subject to a poll or survey.

The number of stars in the universe is an objectively measurable thing, that we will never be able to measure.

"Universally acknowledged" has never been understood to mean 100% of people. There isnt a fact or opinion that fits that definition.
