I don't recall anything like that (> '70).

but Les also had some pretty terrible losses that wouldn’t had happened under saban.
05 Tennessee
07 Kentucky
08 Arkansas
09 Ole Miss
‘10 Arkansas

Some are either living in denial or have loss of memory.

Saban had some ugly losses here as well:
'00 UAB
'01 OM
'02 Arky
'03 UF
'04 Iowa, blowout at UGA

He was good for one stoopid game per year.

Neither of these guys step foot on campus if Nick was here at that time

Saban never had an offense as good as our '07 until maybe '13 and subs.

As for STs, like it or not, Les's STs >> Saban's.

And as noted, Pelini and Saban had the same basic approach on D. Very similar styles. If anything, Pelini used this nifty safety blitz that wreaked havoc on Bama QBs.

How do you see a Saban coached '07 team doing better?

Landry is purposely sabotaging LSU

How was Landry involved in hiring either SW or BK? Would you like to rehire them?
quote:

Two of these are not like the other.

FTR, Stoops and Urban both took Nick to the woodshed the last time they coached against him.
quote:

Wrong. LSU would have at least two to three more national titles between 2003-2012 with Saban as coach.

What was this thread about chadr2003-2012?
quote:

LSU fans only want Saban because they think it would give them some kind of "gotcha!" over Bama fans, which is frankly ridiculous.

Cannot speak for other Tiger fans. Because of the 12 team playoff, some targets might not be available until late. What a Saban or Stoops or Urban would do, is immediately hush the screamin knotheads and provide some immediate stability.
After five games head-to-head, Les was up 3-2. Their paths diverged after Les shifted to the pound-n-punt offense and Saban was willing to play more aggressively on O.
quote:

Saban didn’t have any undefeated seasons until well into his tenure at Bama.

He's only had two ('09 and '20*). His first was in Y3 at Bama. It should be mentioned that was when Colt McCoy was injured on UTX's first possession.

And '20, so heavily asterisked I'll need Gary Danielson to celebrate it.
The offense was better in '07 with Crowton as OC than it would've been with Saban as HC.

Pelini's D style was pretty much the same as Nick's.

re: LSU's Redzone Offense

Our offense staff consists of:
Frank Wilson
Alex Atkins
Brad Davis
Cortez Hankton

Not to be trifled with.
I think the embarrassment vs ATM accelerated things. Since SW's fate was pretty much tied to BK's, IDK who in our Admin would've been in contact with agents/options.

Do they have to speak coherent English?
He could be the first HC to ever win titles at three schools. There's that angle.

Had Biden or Kamala said this pre-election, Trump would've campaigned against it.

who is Armstrong?

Trace Armstrong.

Played for the Gators late 80s?

You would think a "fan" would know how to spell a 5th year seniors name.

senior's name (possessive)

If you're gonna yell at people, use correct grammar (or just lighten up; we knew who he meant).
quote:

What are you talking about? He played in our last 3 bowl games.

He's talking about the game vs K State after '21 that Jontre Kirklin (GOAT) had to play QB. Had Nuss played it would've blown his RS costing him a year of eligibility.

The backstory is his dad contacted O and pressured him to play him vs Arky which he did. But it also used up his four games.

Some are still faulting Nuss for that. Nowhere near the same with Travis in the SECCG in '01.
