When they finally get someone that can lock down the in-state talent, and the basically in-state talent in the STL and KC metro areas.

THIS. Gotta lock the borders. STL has been especially brutal for Mizzou in basketball and football. Mizzou does pretty well on getting the KC recruits but for whatever reason top STL recruits rarely come to mizzou

One game away from a national championship in '07 is pretty damn close. Regardless, we fricked it up. No excuses.

I see no reason why we can't get back there. Other than last year, we've had a pretty damn good run for the past 13 years.

To be a sleeping giant in football you have to have been a giant in football at some point in time. Missouri has never been a giant in football.
