Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban joined ESPN's coverage of the 2024 NFL Draft live from Detroit this weekend.
During the broadcast, Saban likely admitted to tampering regarding Toledo star cornerback Quinton Mitchell, who was a first-round pick.
Saban suggested that he tried to get Mitchell to enter the transfer portal but he never did. Per The Spun:

Former Rockets cornerback Quinyon Mitchell went in the first round on Thursday night. When he did, Saban spoke very highly of him.
“He was our number one guy in the portal … to try to get him to come [into] the portal,” Saban said, adding: “and he would never get in the portal.”
