I'm still digging in on Jason Wachs last season at Tulane. The more I comb through the play logs on the box scores, the more I like the pick up.

A lot of instances of taking the extra base (first to third on single, scoring from 1st on a double), several times he was intentionally walked. He sees a ton of pitches. He got better as the season went on from a BB%, K%, and XBH standpoint.

He did play some CF as a freshman. Apparently there was some injury stuff that kept him at DH and RF last year. I think he will be fine in CF for us and then move over to a corner late to insert a more defensive CF.

He batted either 2nd or 3rd all year and was the main "don't let him beat you" guy for Tulane and still performed.

No.

e get the new address squared away and at this point I’m asking them why would they send me to collections and not just give me a phone call and avoid all of this.

Because their response to this part is complete bullshite.

ETA: The doctor probably recently sold his practice to private equity. This is a common downstream impact of that. Find a new doctor.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Ethan Clauss looks to be headed to Dallas Baptist, per the D1Baseball Portal Tracker.

Hayden Travinski - Signed with the Astros and played a little bit of Rookie ball. Looks to be out of baseball. Always a national Champ and owner of one of the most violent swings I've ever seen.

Played 40 something games for the Brockton Rox in the Frontier League this season before being put on the IL last week.

Brayden Jobert - Topped out at A+ ball for the Cards and got released going into this season. National Champ forever and personally my favorite swing. Don't get me wrong, there are dudes that hit a lot better than Jobert at LSU but he had the smoothest lefty swing when he hit pull side bombs.

Bryce Collins - Signed with the White Sox and pitched a couple of seasons. Seemingly is out of baseball from what I've seen. National Champion forever.

He got picked up by the Astros org recently and is pitching in Asheville (High A).

Also, I saw that Vandy beat writer Aria Gerson is in favor of the throw over rule. She's possibly the dumbest fricking baseball writer I've ever seen, so a good rule of thumb is that if she's for it, it sucks.

Is faster better?

Faster for the sake of being faster, no. Faster in some ways to make for better game flow, yes.

The pitch clock, limiting mound visits, the 3 batter minimum, have all improved the flow of the game.

But they were also born out of necessity. You used to just have fewer pitching changes in general. Guys also didn't need 45 seconds to reload because they weren't going max effort every pitch.

When those trends changed and the games kept getting longer and longer with no increase in the action, they had to act.

But the throw over rule, increasing the size of the bases, and banning the shift were all about creating more action. So they were addressing the issue from both sides.

College baseball doesn't suffer from a lack of action. It doesn't always suffer from a length of game issue.

The mercy rule and now some of these other efforts to shorten the game are being done at the behest of the TV companies (really just ESPN) because they want a more predictable broadcast window. Which is bullshite. But it's clear they don't care about making the product entertaining, they just want it to fit in their box. Otherwise there wouldn't be so much women's basketball on TV.

What makes it better?

Fewer mid-inning pitching changes, and none back-to-back, is an improvement in the flow of the game. I think it translates to college well.

The throw over rule in MLB has created more opportunities for stolen bases (as intended), but it's not like they were throwing over constantly in the Majors like sometimes happens in college.

The people making the decision a) don't understand the intent of the throw over limit, b) don't understand that not everything can be modeled after the majors because of the lower talent level.

It's going to make for worse baseball and it's not actually going to speed anything up, because it's not intended to speed anything up.

Typical low IQ response. Can't deal with being called out so threaten physical violence.

Its truly wild how loaded the rosters for wake, Florida and lsu were that year.

Tennessee was too. We beat 3 teams twice each that likely would have won in any other year.

But there are a lot of "LSU fans" that think anyone could have won with Skenes and Crews.

Because they're retards who don't understand context.

fricking moron.

Sean Sullivan debuted for the Rockies this year, from Wake too.

I remember us going after him in the portal out of Northwestern.

Good call.

Quinn Matthews will probably make it up by the end of the season. One thing I didn't see coming was Oral Roberts producing more MLBers than TCU from that season. At least so far.
I don't have a problem with the 3 batter minimum. I don't like it being implemented for SEC games but not other games.

The 2 pickoff rule is absolutely retarded. It wasn't implemented in the majors to make the games go quicker, it was done to increase action and offense. College baseball doesn't need that.
So far, from the 2023 CWS I've found 20 Major Leaguers. There are several more on the cusp. I truly think it's the most talent laden field we've seen in Omaha in our lifetime.

I don't think Hacopian is a full slot guy, even if they give him $6MM they would bank an extra $130k.

Hacopian got 5.7MM. They may be able to get enough to sign Murphy.
jesus, you're terrible on every board aren't you
Stetson and Air Force coaches both stepping down today.

Kaz at Air Force got a promotion within the academy.

Trimper at Stetson is retiring I think.

A couple good mid major programs that have recently become portal factories.

In the context of the totality of SEC football Auburn was a pretty new "rival" for LSU. For example, LSU has played more games vs. A&M

And?
