Grand Cayman is nice but not my cup of tea. I do think you'd have an enjoyable time there. Again I don't see it as a golf cart type of island. Isla Mujeres sort of wins that one hands down with the easy driving in a cart and multiple stops to eat drink and walk the trails if you get down to Punta...

IF you're a diver it's Roatan by a mile. It's a pretty cool island and as long as you avoid the shithole that is Coxen Hole it's fine. Neither is a place to rent and drive golf carts around. Not at all if you're talking Nassau or Freeport....

We’ve done two. One in the Piedmonte region and one in Tuscany. The one in Piedmonte is as staying at the vineyard and offered more options (like a tasting dinner in the premise). The one in Tuscany was not rustic and everything to do was up to us. ...

I’d fly into Venice and decompress there for a day or so. The Dolomites are due north and are spectacular. A good place to base there is Cortina d’ Ampezzo. It’s central. You’ll need a car to get around because, well, mountains. There are tons of hiking trails.
Alternatively you could fly int...

Two words. The Dolomites. Stunning and food is a blend of Germanic and Italian. Then you could spend a couple of days in Venice as a gondola ride is just about the most romantic thing you can do in that part of the country. Th...
