He's probably referring to the flippant tone of, "my bad." It comes across as a very insincere form of, "sorry." If you're really sorry, you'll try not to do it again. Save your words.

I get what he is trying to say. On the surface it comes off as placating and trying to not take ownership of the mistake you made. But really comes down to the individual player / person. Some ppl say that and they are genuinely taking responsibility.

I would think it would be, "It's not my fault".
