I started a 10 page thread on this very thing a couple years ago when Milazzo threw the ball past first for the winning run against Alabama. I got down voted merciliessly but this play and this pic vindicates me.

Suggest you watch the Les Miles deo when a reporter asked if he thought certain players were busts.

We were poor…
I had seats near the players families back then and I got to know several of them. Tyrus' grandmother was a wonderful person and of course so proud of Tyrus. No doubt he took care of her after being drafted.
Marcus Thornton's mother was very nice, there were alway s about 8 to 10 Thornton family members at every game. Mama Thornton always joked that if he played well she would fix him his favorie meal Jambalaya.
Hopefully they all invested well and took care of the families and not the hangers on.

Fun to think about what could have been if they all came back like FL players did.
Imagine if Marcus Thornton had been academically eligible in 2006 instead of playing JUCO that season.

How did a dude from Australia dream of playing basketball at LSU as a kid?Is there is some sort of personal connection or something?
LSU basketball has a long history with Australian players:
Eddie Palubinskas was the first star player of Dale Brown's tenure
Any Campbell 7'4" backup center duriong the Fantastic Climb to the Top , was a fan favorite
Ray Borner , backup center in the 1980s
Duop Reath was a solid player and is now in the NBA
Ben Simmons , one of the most talented players in the history of LSU baketball

My only regeret is Hokie is no longer here to share the moment. They were a great combination. I can still hear the great John Ferguson broadcast:
Ensminger down under center, Gajan is the up back and Alexander dots the I.

Since they don't play every team every year regular season finishes are often a product of the quality of a team and the strength of their league schedule. A better gauge is the number of super regionals in addition to WCWS appearances. How do those compare?

My point remains its not yours or anyone else's privelege to think for some one else and presume what they will do.

Always interesting how some of you love to think for someone else. There are many factors which guide a player's decision on whether to seek free agency. The Pirates have historically been a top ten team in victories and two years from now might be a contender. Just because you would want to leave don't assume another would do so.
