I think guys who leave the program (early for the NFL or transferring out) are considered non-graduates so you take a hit every time it happens.
Clemson doesn't play the transfer portal game so they fare better than everyone else....

Jean Laffite set up shop there for smuggling slaves and other goods he amassed from his early Privateering days before being forced to Galveston by the US Military.
Forstall's Plantation site is underwater and you can see some remnants of structures at low tide.
