I dunno. It’s a 9:15 kickoff.

Additional benefits lie on the tax side. If Walker paid the employees the bonus out of his proceeds that money would've been taxed 1) when Walker received it from the purchasers of the company and 2) later when the employees received it from Walker.
it’s likely an asset sale - if walker paid the employees he would get the deduction. It’s not taxed twice. In fact he gets a decent portion taxed at capital gains rates and an ordinary deduction for the wages paid out. Tax arbitrage on that is about 15%.

The vesting thing sounds more like phantom stock. He awarded people who stayed with him for 5 years. It’s not that they stay with the buyer for 5 years.

It’s a good thing he did - not really making sense why the buyer would care what he did with his money.
I think it’s hilarious. It’s the same over the top Michigan stuff he always does. Laugh a little. It’ll be okay - besides you getting big mad only plays into it.

Just got out and one of the first movies in a while that I didn’t want to end, and it’s 2.5 hours if that tells you anything. Great movie, great story, and great
agreed. I really liked this movie. Probably my favorite of the year. The way things unfolded it was almost like a Coen Brothers movie. It’s not “Rocky but with ping pong” so if you’re expecting that you’ll be disappointed. Very well acted all the way through - this is the first movie where I get Timothy Chalemet. Paltrow was great as well.

I can't name a team that's not somewhat disappointed with their Oline this year.
this is true. 2019 O Line won the Joe Moore award and many here still thought they sucked and gave all the credit to Burrow (??). Then several went on the play in the NFL.

But yeah our Oline was embarrassing this year.

I don’t get how this was a negotiating point. They’re buying your company for $1.7B - what you do with the $1.7B is typically not something the buyer would have control over.

He hates playing basketball so much

Y'all sure were excited when the rumor was he'd be joining the LSU staff. What changed?
we’re only a couple of steps away from comparing a coaching change to an ex girlfriend.
Thought he did a great job as D Line coach this year. I wouldn’t have minded keeping him but Lucas is definitely an upgrade.

Who are you talking about?

He didn’t have the chest” or my favorite, “ That’s Death Valley - where opponents dreams come to die”.
that was the thing about Les - he GOT LSU. He really embraced all things purple and gold. Like that post game interview when he said there was a “stiff dew”. I mean on the fly refusing to say it ever rains in tiger stadium and coming up with the phrase “stiff dew”? That’s just and all timer. No one else could do that.

All kinds of Les-isms have staying power on this board to this day. Nicked, chest, soft tissue, R-Kansas, kiss them on the mouth- if you’re a girl, etc. No other coach comes close.

I always had Les’ back and got in multiple arguments on this board with some people in this thread who wanted him fired after game 1 and never let up. His wins need to be restored and he needs to be in the HOF.

Without those stupid vacated wins he’s the winningest coach in LSU history and we’ve been playing football for over 100 years.

It’s very good. It makes you want to immediately start the next episode to keep up with the various storylines. A little left wing political in spots but not too bad. Makes you very glad to not work in an ER.

My only fear for season 2 is they said they were gonna get darker. I don’t really want that. Season 1 got dark enough.
Who cares if frank coaches the Texas bowl?

Yeah but he didn’t know he could do all that until he had to pretend to be someone else

this phrase is so over used and inaccurate. he is not 74 like saban. he is only 64. the issue is he was LAZY AS frick.
age has nothing to do with the game passing you by. All it takes is an unwillingness to adapt.

Was he really hurt? Or is he using that to justify his horrible play?
I don’t know one way or the other but he looked like a different QB this year. The drop in his performance was noticeable - we’ll see how he does at the combine.

He talks about the general girlboss cinema trend, and says part of the reason women don't care about chick leads, is that they are basically male-coded with boobs. They sleep around, are dismissive and/or disdainful of the opposite sex, and are hyper violent. What we have been told is effectively "toxic masculinity"
my wife complains about this. The strong female lead is either a lesbian or acts like a dude.
