How did they compete? Most of Gene Stephenson's roster were local Kansas kids, maybe Missouri. Whereas Miami. FSU, and LSU had players from all over. Skip recruited from NY Penn Florida Cali. Much smaller percentage of local Louisiana guys. The Midwest had that much baseball talent?
Hate to be a twat but has our best or most highly touted player ever gone cold like this in postseason? I've never seen this before.
