quote:We were on Trae for quite awhile, but he finally committed to Nebraska I believe. I agree, he's a gamer for sure, but we just have too many options at this point. We need to make our choice(s) at QB early Summer. The stars will start to align in June.
Trae Taylor is rising - kid is good

When I see Forstall on tape, I see an Abdul Carter-like player who is so versatile in the front seven of the defense that he can rip off the edge and beat any offensive tackle or he can overpower people and run right through them.
What is also special about the New Orleans (La.) Jesuit defensive end is that he can stand up and play linebacker – like Carter did in high school – and blitz like a madman. I love his frame, his intensity, his aggressiveness and I don't see any way Forstall doesn't end up as a five-star with two more years of high school football left.

Shanklin stayed true to his commitment and knows this guy. So, we may have the inside track, but do we want him? Time will tell...

Unfortunately, we won't know the full answer to this question for a year or two. Right now they all look really enticing. My guess is Houston, but I'm doubting that due to his size. Who really knows? We WILL find out well down-the-road.

Honestly, I think we get Haven & Nuss 2.0.

Well-written post, just not agreeing w/you on this. If Nuss shows that "dawg" then we'll be fine.
BUT, remember, the trad LSU defense has bailed us out in many games in the past few decades. So, I'm praying they will do so again

Yep, but maybe we get all three, and I'll have to change my post.

Mack is committed to LSU and is trending to be one of the next great pass-catchers to come through Baton Rouge. Playing at 200 pounds this spring, Mack maintains his speed to burn downfield and is a precise route-runner with plus hands and range on the receiving end. The four-star prospects brings explosiveness and physicality to the WR position and hasn't missed a beat since the end of his junior year.

Houston was on-point through the entirety of the camp on Sunday. We loved the touch on short and intermediate throws and the velocity on throws downfield. Houston's timing and anticipation continue to sharpen, and his consistency at the position is certainly worth noting.

The No. 45 prospect in the 2027 Rivals250 really caught my attention on Sunday. His size jumps out first but his ability to throw the ball is excellent. When his footwork and timing is in rhythm it’s hard to find many quarterbacks that look better than him. Zeigler got better as the camp went on and very well could have been the MVP.
Tennessee and Florida State are two of his most recent offers. The Vols would be an intriguing fit for his skill set but there is a long way to go in his recruitment.

Louisiana speedster Jaden Keelen punched his ticket to the Rivals Camp on Sunday after testing extremely well at Saturday's Rivals Combine. The New Orleans (La.) John Curtis defensive back clocked a 4.5-second 40 with a 4.33-second short shuttle.
He's a 2028 prospect we're expecting to draw looks from college programs around the country.
