He was wildly popular for years, especially during the Trump era.

I understand the critiques of him as it pertains to his Jewish-centric worldviews, but he has been a major net positive against the march of the left.

But I think his popularity has peaked by now. Hes a bit TOO MUCH to the boomer conservative era.

There's zero doubt that star wars writers have been quirk chungus progressive millennial women. Probably the type of women who made fun of star wars fans in school.

Not at all. This retconning of star wars as a "kids show" is all cope for its failure.

Its STILL not even managing to be successful as a kids show either.

Young kids are not into star wars the same way the millennials were.

OG star wars appeal to mostly everyone, but the main thing is George Lucas told a story, he wasnt looking at marketing data or trying to sell plastic trinkets made in China to boys, girls, and also grandma.

The marketing departments of the modern era will never make it possible to make a great movie thats not trying to sell shite.

There's actually a red letter media video that goes into detail about all the trash that was stuffed into the prequels MERELY to sell to specific demographics, i.e. girls aged 16-24 (who were never interested and never WILL BE interested). Putting effort into appealing to every market imaginable with scenes/writing/background is also a big reason why most modern content just seems so gray, lifeless, and unrelatable. The moral questions, the experiences, etc. are trying to be as non-specific as possible and ultimately appeal to no one, especially not little girls or women.

Since the prequels, most of the content IS definitely for kids...but thats ALWAYS been about selling trinkets and other merchandise.

Even Lucas himself jumps to this "hey bud star wars is for kids" defense when he refuses to answer for all the ridiculous junk he stuffed in the prequels for shitty trinket sales.


With that being said, people do need to let it go. Its just better to move on from these franchises and stop trying to get a repeat of the same exact f formula .
