Conway, SC...I guess our rival is Myrtle Beach. Historic Southern town vs. trashy tourist mecca.

St Louis, 'cause they wanna be us
St. Louis’s rival is Chicago. Kansas City is barely even a little brother. Y’all should see if Wichita wants a rival.

Hoover vs Vestavia Hills
Birmingham is unrivalled

New Orleans. Our rival is Mobile ever since they beat us to the punch on Mardi Gras.

St. Louis desperately trying to compare itself to Chicago never fails to amuse me I guess if crime is the criteria it makes sense

Vestavia was always way cooler than Hoover. Hoover was always full of druggies.

So is Vestavia. Vestavia is where coke head frat boys, and 20something wannabe hippies that follow Phish and Bessnectar around come from

I guess Batesville? Starkville (cause of the Universities) or Tupelo?
Not sure the people of Oxford and the people of Lafayette county hate each other enough to make up for not really having a city rival. The county and city high schools rivalry game is a big deal in the town.
Those two demographics really despise each other. Only thing that brings them together is mutual announce at students.
From the county so I guess the city itself.

Anniston, AL.
Not sure why. Has just always been like that. Probably racially motivated from back in the day. There is a clear line of demarcation between the two towns and the census data was quite different until about 20 years ago.

Maybe it is because I grew up in the Eastern most suburb of Memphis, but I never remember people saying they hate Nashville, dislike Nashville for this or that, or being more affluent.

Because of this:
People think that the rivalry is NWA vs. central arkansas.
Truth is that the real rivalry is within all the NWA cities.
We are always fighting over new restaurants, businesses, and money in general. Ultimately, competition has made NWA into a better area.
