Offer him an NIL deal this offseason. State gonna have a tough time outbidding for him.
Keep telling yourself that.
Basketball was the only sport we knew how to cheat in pre-NIL.
Our biggest boosters care about basketball even though the fans don't so our basketball NIL is very comparable to top half SEC vs football. It is the only reason we still got players like Reggie Perry and Malik Newman even though we sucked.
You saw it last year, Kentucky came hard after Tolu last year and we paid up.
Now if Jans were to leave that might change things.

Where have you seen we are getting a visit from Montgomery? Not saying you’re wrong, I just haven’t seen it said yet
Worth noting that Braden Montgomery’s mother tweeted This out a couple days ago…….
Ya he is my pick for low rated Mississippi DL that blows up late in the process.
Seems to happen about once a year.

Four 4-stars this week for Mississippi State.
Note, he is at IMG academy but is originally from Madison Mississippi and I think transferred last winter.

He is a State alum from Tupelo, MS and seems to be a player and parent favorite.
A big reason he is such a player and parent favorite is a little over 10 years ago he was in their shoes.
He isn’t just an alumni, he was a 4-star and top player in the state of Mississippi so he can sell the 4-star to Mississippi state story from personal experience. He also had a great career at State.
So because he went through what all the current kids are going through they really seem to connect with him and put value in what he says.

How the frick is this guy in the top 20 in one service and not in the top 300 in another. There can’t be that large of a disparity ??
Because he does not have a position. He is an incredible athlete but undersized for DE and not incredible enough athletically for LB. From what I heard he is not the 6-2 he is listed at.
He is an incredible get though, I wish we had him and if a DC can figure out what to do with him he can be a monster. It is just a matter of doing that.

Lol I will let you have the next one that is coming later today or tomorrow.
Also based on the rumors swirling around there will be another 4* WR commit either today or tomorrow.

Plus they are not radically changing the offense this season

You've had some pretty good coaches and talent since then and you're in a bit of a rough spot right now with Coach Leach's passing and Arnett trying to change the offense.
I mean this is our most talented roster since 2018, and the roster is very experienced.
The personal also is fine, the offense will still pass more than it runs, and we never got full personal for the air raid anyway so it is not a huge swap back. Plus it is easier to go from pass to run than the other way around. The OC fits his system to the personal and he has proven that at multiple stops now.
I don't understand why people have this idea we are moving from the air raid to the wishbone.
Regardless, the defense alone will keep us out of the bottom of the west this year.
We go through this every offseason and every year, and with the exception of the covid year, they have been wrong about this for over a decade now.

Death, taxes and pundits picking Mississippi State to finish last in the West even though they have only finished last in the west one time since 2010, and that was 2020 which as we all know does not count.
How many times do they have to be wrong on this same prediction every year before it stops.

They also claim that Ole Miss and State quit playing them because they kept losing to them. I have a lot of USM friends, but all fan bases have delusional fans.
Which is hilarious because State has played them three times since 2014 and will again this year.
State has beaten them 118-31 over those three games and they were not that close.

It certainly couldn’t have anything to do with the Southern Miss affiliates on the Committee
Probably has to do with the fact Southern has better attendance numbers than y'all do in the regular season and the last time either of y'all hosted regionals.
IE Southern has more fans that show up than UT does.

You’re an Ole Miss fan? How’d you get this one wrong?
Because this is a troll post.
Also I am operating under the assumption that Bama offer is not legit, regardless very excited because this dude looks awesome and this commitment was completely out of nowhere.
Had no idea who he was until he committed.
