I’m from Kingstree, S.C so our rival would be C.E Murray or Lake City. Lake city has historically beat us. So I would say Lake City

Yeah you would get a mix their. Some ppl might say Hemingway. We are in closer proximity to Greelyville and Lake City though. Hemingway is much closer to johnsonville and Carvers Bay

Mountain Brook.

New money versus old money.

Houston hates Dallas, Dallas doesn't care. IMO it is 99% because of the Cowboys.

My hometown is Grenada MS. White trash from Winona and Charleston love to come to Grenada and start fights so I'm guessing those are my hometown's rivals.

90% of bar fights in Grenada are started by a drunk skank from Charleston.

Pensacola is my hometown... Can't think of anyone that would be a "rival."

It has always been Charleston. Just this year they re-took the largest city in the state title from Columbia

Charlestonians are our version of Manhattanites. They think the world doesn't exist outside of the Peninsula. And they long sold their soul to Yankee tourism just like Myrtle Beach did. The only difference is that they get upper middle class Yankees instead of working class ones like Myrtle Beach. Being a Conway native and lifelong SC resident, nothing pisses me off more than getting lectured by some Charleston transplant, who's never been west of Summerville or north of Awendaw, about how trashy the rest of the state is.

Huntsville's rival is the state of Alabama.

Having been born and raised in Huntsville, this is correct.

Now that I live in Columbia, it's Charleston. Love visiting, but they are some seriously uppity motherfrickers.

For Houston I would say New York, LA, London, Paris, shanghai, Beijing, & Tokyo.

Charleston - I guess Savannah would be the correct answer. However, Savannah is the smaller and uglier little brother.

If not there, I don't think Columbia is the correct answer. Columbia is the boring, hick capital. It has SCar and Pavlov's. That's just about it.

I think Greenville is more suited as an in-state rival for Charleston. Upstate vs. Low Country. Mountains vs. beach and wetlands. Greenville is actually a very nice.
